I mainly use Game Maker and RPG maker when making games. Thou I am plaining on using GoDot in the future :D. I have seen people use Blender and Godot together.

Thanks for your tutorials. One thing: If you File->Load Factory Settings and then File->Save Startup File to reset blender to its defaults, consider to go to User Preferences and save them as well. Load Factory Settings resets both, the default scene and the preferences, but Save Startup File doesn't save the preferences.

Thanks. I watched a cycles video and decided to see a couple of introductory videos of yours. Regarding Blender GUI Windows ... some other actions I have found useful related to window management are. 01 Toggle Full Screen ..control down arrow. Single Window Full Screen. 02 Duplicate Window .... Useful for dual monitor... or navigate back and forth on single screen. One file different viewpoints. 03 Local View -- Numpad / ... Isolate a single or multiple objects for focused attention. 04 View Selected ... Local Orbit -- Numpad . (decimal) 05 Toggle Quad View .. 3D View most are searchable by the space bar menu of course blender is so extensive on can not show everything in a single intro video

Was wondering about cycles and blender render. Which one is more for shorts/animation episodes and the other for pictures?
@BornCG
10 жыл бұрын
Wallespider Blender Cycles is the new, modern, much more accurate renderer. Their one is more for animation vs stills/pictures, but Cycles is much much more able to re-create photo-realistic results if that's what you're looking for. I'd say that the old Blender Render engine was very capable of getting a good cartoony look very easily, but I think Cycles is the future and easy/better once you get used to using nodes.

You have to have a mesh object selected and be in object mode to see the join / set origin buttons on the left toolshelf panel. If you're in edit mode or don't have the mesh selected you won't see those options. Hasn't changed in 2.79.

what is the difference between blender render and cycles render?\
@themustachioedfish5988
7 жыл бұрын
Blender Render doesn't allow for bounce lighting, but is faster and what the game engine is based off of. Cycles allows for light to bounce off of objects, but takes longer to render. Soon, Eevee will come out, which will be faster than Cycles, but also allow for bounce lighting, and viewing the scene in rendered mode updating in real time, where with Cycles it is still possible, but the scene gets all grainy when you move.

+Gregor Samsa the properties window with the tabs at the top? You probably want to leave that open, you'll need to access it all the time. You can always press ctrl-up arrow with your mouse cursor in any window to make that window full screen, do the same again to bring your windows back.
@gorannovaks

Thanks for response I've already found the solution, Blender allows to close windows on intersection (join area function) only when there are two windows adjoin. So I used to close close bottom panel first. I know that it can be useful but I want to set some custom layout for rendering and split windows into properties at the bottom and three of view windows, one bigger for posing, one for camera view and one for 2d view. I mean, I've already customize all this and it makes UI more clear, because I use laptop with two internal GPUs and external v-card.
