Thanks for this tutorial bro! I learned a lot, I just have a question, I already modelled and snow globe, now when I am trying to do your snowfall I cannot scale the boundaries or the size of the null, it's always giving me the same size of the custom null sphere :(, do you know what I should do?

Solution #1: Scale the snowfall object up and then edit the geometry nodes tree to scale the snowflakes down again. That's is the easiest solution. Solution #2: Between the Position vector and the Math Distance (For the scale instances), you can just add a Vector Math Scale node and scale the position values down. Then the detection radius will expand too.

Thank you so much @@PointCloud , I took solution 2 and it worked, my snow globe doesn't look so perfect like the one that you made on the intro but its good I am just wondering how you made that distortion effect it looks really realistic

It works! Just a heads up for Geo node beginners, this moves fast but it's straight and to the point. Good stuff! Thank you for your help!

Thanks for defending my speed. I know, that beginners may have to watch certain parts multiple times. But most people don't want to watch long tutorials.

Exellent tutorial! Thank you so much for this! Also with a few tweaks this could be used to create anything from fog to heavy rain or even star fields, very versitile! Just one point, it woould help a lot to have screen-cast keys activated.

The last step you use the color remp on empty is not working . All are visible when its on a mormal white but when i shift to the opposite side to the black nothing is visible. Any idea or another way to doo it.

@@PointCloud doesn't need to be a simulation, fake wind motion is also very appreciated.

hi, basic queston im in blender 4.0 and there is no FRAMES there, what could i replace with ? SCENE TIME frame ?
@PointCloud
10 ай бұрын
There is no "Frames" node in general. I just used a "Value" node and typed in the slider #frame , this will keep assigning the current frame value to that node, which will animate it infinitely.

Is the #frame working correctly? If not, just delete the driver and type it in again, sometimes thats buggy.

Ok, I think I understand what you mean, I was having the same problem. First, just to test out what you have so far slide the timeline back and forth, rather than pressing play, it works right? Ok, Start again with the Value node, delete it. ( or you can reset the node in the properties) Then type in the field exactly this, #frame. It will turn purple, like in the video and set the value to 1. ( That means frame 001) Try pressing play. Does it work? I apologize my friend, I do not speak Portuguese, I hope you understand well enough. Se cuida!

It didn't work for me at first either. But I was not creating the Value node and typing #frame at frame 1 on my timeline. Not sure if that matters. But when I did it on frame 1 it worked. The other 4 times it was on frame 20 or 30 it didn't work.@@Crushertalos
