didn't think it worked at first, but for those who have run into this issue, make sure your start frames have well and truly started way in the past, if its set to -50 and its not working, try setting it to -500 and ensure your secondary particle system end frame is +500 on top of your end animation frame. Also, delete any bakes that may have occurred on both systems ;)

Thank you very much! I was struggling for a bit, but i realized the seed wasn't the same on the particle systems, so as soon as I put it to the same seed, it worked flawlessly, so for anyone who it isn't working, try to check if the seed is the same on both of the particle systems.

For those that could not make it work, bake the 2 animations or else the particles will not work correcly since it starts on frame -50

Shouldn't you have the first one end the frame before the other begins? if you think of a three frame animation that you want to loop having one start on the same frame the other ended will result in having two systems generating particles on the same frame. Typically for me given a 100 frame animation I have a pre animation system going from -99 to 0 (100 frames), then another going from 1 to 100(another 100 frames). Is this not the case?

How would I accomplish this when I have a particle system with a wind forcefield and the starting frame for particle system is -600. Im going through a forest and when i hit my loop you can tell the particles arent looping. I tried to adapt your tutorial to mine project but no dice. I'm in blender 3.0 but that doesn't seem to matter for this, I don't think.

@@lowpolytv1036 I got it working fine on a normal animation, but i need the particle system to start at -600 instead of 0 :S

@@Duuude9448 No man sorry, I ended up moving to another project. Im sure its simple to achieve its just going over my head. One way I was thinking but never tests was to make your animations keyframes later in the timeline. so say your particle system needs 300 frames to get goin, you would have your animation at 300 instead of 1, or 0 if looping. I hope you understand what I mean, im horrible at explaining stuff for blender. act like later in your animation timeline is frame 1 or 0 , then you would only render frame 300-500 ect. cheers!

@@Nature_Runes im running onto the same problem. What i noticed is that if you are trying to start from frame -600, you need to render 600 frames to complete the loop. I needed 160 frames so what i did was on particle settings 1 Frame start: -160 and frame end: 0 with a lifetime of 160. For particle settings 2 frame start: 0 and frame end: 160 with a lifetime of 160. With these settings i was able to create a complete loop. I hope this helps

I was getting strange artifacts when I turn on motion blur. The first frame, because we start from the middle of the action I was getting an extremely motion blurred frame... I will try expanding the render segment by 1 on each side so as to cut out the glitch later in video editing. Emitters -50 50 and 50 150 Render area - 1 to 101 Then cut out the 1st and last frames... I believe this will fix my problem... Thanks for the tutorial.

what? why does it work? And why do you say they overlap if they are set up to work sequentially? The overlap only one frame I don't get it. Is it because they have basically one seed because all of the rest of the settings are the same?
@MushyMooshy

basically it has to do w the seed
@markkulaskujarvi4469

Ure right theyre sequential. It works so that the lifetime of the particles is equal to the length of the latter half of each animation sequence. So they kind of overlap in that sense. The other picks up from where the other one left off at. You could also make the other sequence start at 51 frames, it might even be smoother like that. If you disable either particle system from being shown in the viewport it might clarify the effects to you better.

the loop works but the particles exits entirely before exiting the camera frame, how do I fix it?
