where was this vid when I was pulling my hair out trying to make a circle of combined objects with an array modifier with no luck? I finally got something KIND OF working but the #s never lined up. and the orig object I never could figure out how to get rid of it in render. well, maybe one of these methods will work better. It's like every tut works like magic then when I try it.... somehow it fails. OH, I didn't have THIS turned on. :( thx for all the tuts!

I like that your presentations are more reference than narrative. Pro tip: Turn on CC and hit pause to try the method described. The CC stays on longer than the frames. Just, less to remember.

It's basically the same thing you can just replicate the steps with nodes, for example: Mesh Circle node to create a circle with X amount of vertices, connect it to the "Points" socket on a Instance on Points node and voilá, you can now feed the "Instance" socket any mesh you want and it will place it on the vertices of the Circle and you still have full control of everything.

Useful and clever. But, Blender should have a streamlined specialized Circular Array modifier built in. Most of these methods seem a bit time consuming and not intuitive IMO. The video is very helpful. Thanks.

Hey Mate, big up from Brazil. Is there anyone who know how to rotate independently WITH ROTATION OFFSET? I found to constrain rotation on the object to the Empty and set to After Original, but the independent rotation keeps all objects with the same rotation. I wanted to make a offset rotation effect. Was I clear? if someone knows how to! Big up from Brazil, thanks for the content

@@monkey7218 There's nothing cringe about helping others. Would it be best to not correct the grammar and thus let the person do the mistake again ?
@monkey7218

@@piorism we can't assume this was a help. I won't assume anything about your status as a language learner, but research shows that correcting mistakes can have adverse side effects. It can make shy people more reluctant to engage in conversation with native speakers; conversation that would fix those mistakes anyway over time without potentially humiliating someone accidentally. It's a complicated topic and not everyone is the same. Some people thrive of on-the-spot correction, but it also depends what mode they are in - are they studying, or are they relaxing with friends, or are they putting themselves out there on the Internet in front of a bunch of people in a vulnerable situation. The risk of maybe putting someone off engaging in public discussions, for the reward of them knowing the difference between affect and effect regardless of the fact no meaning was lost, doesn't seem worth it. Especially seeing as in the vast majority of cases people learn this stuff naturally via exposure if they're in a safe environment. Tldr: depends, but usually yes.

lol. You know very well that none of the above applies to something like a comments section. And one can indeed assume that it was done in order to help - simply because it is the default position to have, as it would be extremely cynical to assume that correcting someone is an attempt to mock. So, the altruistic position is indeed to give the correction - especially in a comments section where more that one person can benefit from it. Because besides the person actually making the mistake in the first place, there are also hundreds of people reading and absorbing things here. And being exposed to correct grammar (like when reading books that have been carefully proofread and edited) is an excellent way for people with poor grasp of the language to actually develop good habits. I would go as far as saying that is the duty of people with solid grasp of the language to do everything they can to correct mistakes on public forums like here.
