Hey guys. If you're using the new 2.81 version, you'll see that some nodes changed. To do de cracks effect, just combine two voronoi nodes, one with F2 and other with F1. in a math node configured to Subtract, then connect it to a color ramp node.

Do you have an easy way to save node groups for later reuse without the hassle of the append feature from previous projects? I've used 2 addons that allow saving and loading of materials but they each have their annoying drawback and one isn't customizable as far as I've found.
@NamesToo
Жыл бұрын
i'm super late and this might not be what you are looking for, but for all these material node groups i like to screen shot them and keep them all in a folder, so i can recreate them for later projects. there's probably a much more sophisticated way of doing this but this worked for me (i am a moron so i'm happy)

I use version 2.91 and here I didn't find the same options in the voronoi texture, like crackle. Here in my blender I just found these metrics like Minkowski, and other options where I could choose between F1, F2, Distance to Edge ... And another where there were 1D, 2D, 3D, and 4D. I didn't understand anything, how do I do this in version 2.91?

In short (and probably poorly explained by me) the mapping is like a 3 dimensional colorspace, you can manipulate those colors like any other colors and change the mapping of the material or texture that way.

I find it kind of silly that they colour the input and output dots but they have no relation to the fact you can pretty much plug anything into anything in any order and you still get funky things happening, the fact that you can put that noise in between the texture coordinate and mapping is so unintuitive, feel like the node flow really needs an overhaul to make it clear the arrangement of how things should be happening.
