Excellent tutorial, great thanks! But one annotation: You picked 'convex hull' for the physics of fractures. I think it should be 'mesh', because bottle shards are most likely concave...

Fun fact: Instead of adding velocity to the flow settings, you can parent the flow object to the original bottle(just like the rigid bodies), turn on "Initial Velocity" in the flow settings, and it will keep the velocity of the bottle.

Very nice! Easy to follow with the relevant steps in focus. Good job. Do you know if you could use the wine as a painting object to make a stain on the wall as well?

Yes you can! And I've already created a tutorial on that subject. It's a little old but the Dynamic Paint settings should still be the same. kzitem.info/news/bejne/po6utm2lcGmbrYY

I believe it should be possible to have the wine stick to the wall. I'm not sure if it's possible with mantaflow, maybe FlipFluid. Haven't tried it, still learning myself

Just been messing about with cell fracture. It seems to only work well if the object is large. If its small or real world scale it bugs out and the faces/ normals go funky. Its kinda annoying.

Why doesnt this stuff ever work? The link animation data option isnt working like it is here, ive tried it like 8 times, it's linked the data but ive had to manually select each piece and add the rigid body to it.
@BlenderMadeEasy
2 жыл бұрын
Link Animation Data doesn't apply the Rigid Body to the objects. That only copies the animation. You need to go up to Object>Rigid Body>Copy From Active. View 6:31 to see what I mean.

Hello, thanks for the great tutorial! I have one problem with the simulation - the liquid is really small, and I don't have so much particles like you before the baking and so much liquid after the baking. I increased the particles maximum to 640 and minimum to 160 and it kinda worked but I didn't get as much liquid as you. Although, I see that you didn't change that and my question is - how did you get that pretty big amount of liquid?
