This is what I needed! I have 2 boys and hubby has 1 daughter! Shelah is right we are still "blending"! LOL!!!! Thank for this!

Exactly what i needed. A group of black couples talking about step parenting, disciplining in their household, the change and dynamics, ego checking, being emotional and supportive, talking to the kids vrs hitting him... patience and love ❤️ this video is beautiful and more videos like this are needed! Especially with POC. thank you very much! 🙌🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Love this conversation. Patience and remembering “we” not “me” really is the key when blending families. I have a now 13 year old daughter and my partner has a 17 year old son who he raised by himself. Very hard connecting with older children of the opposite sex but it takes time. You can’t rush genuine connection but it will happen eventually the patience and love. I love my blended family and the different perspective having an additional parent has brought. Im also the softy and he’s the enforcer 😆

Great topic, I’m a mother of twins girls and my significant other has 1 daughter. Definitely refreshing to hear other couples views on blending families❤

Her moving in without telling him and he has a child is wild

I had to stop the video. “I don’t think I stepped on any toes.” “My relationship with his daughter went really smooth.” Then you find out she moved in without a discussion and her and the daughter didn’t talk for a year???!!!! Black Love, please don’t bring her on again - Her behavior is wildly concerning considering he has a child, and there’s too many apparent contradictions in what she says

The moral of the story is that it works out if it is truly meant to be. It doesn't take all day to recognize sunshine. When you've lived some and possess some emotional intelligence, you can trust love. There will ALWAYS be growing pains in a blended family. But you work through them and the result can be something beautiful!

@@sumluvv nah he has a child... He loved her... Not the child. She shouldn't have done it. Glad it's working out, but she is wrong for that

@@sumluvvI can’t co-sign that - Given that there was a minor in the household, it’s giving very Black Widow. If he didn’t have a child there may be some gray area, but the fact she did this mess w a child in the home is giving mentally unhinged.

Am not used to such couch conversations with gay couple so I am even still listening 🎧 but it ended before I could even get this together. Well done black love . Getting in the house before marriage 💕 is a high risk but the lady knew what she wanted n got it. Parents God Almighty bless n guide you.

I would still not date anybody with children let alone marry a man with children. This was a very great topic.

I like hearing everyone’s thoughts and experiences raising children in blended families but this feels so stuffy, and well manicured like something is missing and I can’t even put my finger on what it is.

I need to learn to stop being the main character and shift the attention away from myself. I can be very controlling over children especially younger ones because of electrical stuff and safety issues. They are managing well

For the longest I thought it was a man, until her partner kept referring to her as “she”. I kept looking at Ace body language wondering why he was responding in that way but now I know why
