Nice to have the complete before & after date in one video! What a shocker at the end!

Nicola was fit anyway, but once you learn that she's successful in her life and has a devious side 😍😍 I think I'm in love. She handled it well

I wonder if she still had her career in Journalism after this episode of Blind Date aired If I was the editor & I had her working for me, I wouldn't be very happy to discover she engineered the story here She would've done something I think is called 'BREACHING JOURNALISTIC ETHICS' And as a result she would be looking for a new career as a result of her actions As I doubt she would be allowed to get involved in Journalism ever again

She does. She gave an interview on BBC radio a couple years ago about this experience and what she’s done since. No longer with cosmopolitan, think she’s freelance. This was probably quite extraordinary by 1998 standards but it’s very tame today especially when you look at how much scripted reality shows there are now. The world moves on and so has she.

They probably encouraged her if anything. Times were very different. If phone hacking was ‘acceptable’ then cheating her way onto blind date would have definitely been allowed 🙃

Yeah in 1998 I was in high school age 15 and standards weee more relaxed than they are now. I could walk in a shop at that age and buy bottles of cider, no ID necessary, my word was enough. You could play truant everyday without threat of your parents been fined or arrested for it. Some times in the 2000s they started getting pretentious before that they were okay

I very much doubt she was the only journalist to appear on the show. I bet most other contestants weren’t there for the dating either, but for other reasons. A bit unfair to expose her like that, I think.

It wasn't unfair in the slightest. It's unlikely people would have gone on there for nefarious reasons back then in the 90s. However, the same could not be said about the modern degenerate era.

Begs the question how she managed to get on the show as it was full of toffs and privileged types. He did get what he deserved though..wearing an effeminate chain around his neck. Cilla was brilliant on the show and the way she handled it..
