It’s overdubbed and pitch corrected, if you pay attention you can actually see small out of sync parts in the voices.

This is playback guys, you can't hear any modulation in Tom's voice when he is moving away from the microphone (pay attention at the end of "inside my head", you can hear that he keeps the note in the audio while he is shortening it in live)

I’m 37 now. Grew up on em in middle school. How the years go by. Still listening to these guys 2022. And I always will. Like going in a lil mini Time Machine with they’re music. How the years go by. When I was a kid all I wanted to do was grow up so my parents couldn’t tell me what to do. Being an adult I didn’t realize then that as an adult you just have more people telling you what to do. Damn was I blind sided lol.

@@Looneyboy mid 2000s did rock. We actually are at the perfect age. We are young enough to of actually had a real childhood outdoors. But still young enough to grasp the technology that has really came into our lives. Old people can’t really grasp the technology. And kids these days don’t have real childhoods without a tablet or an iPhone. Never know what it was like to ride in the bed of a pickup or share with you’re friends you’re collection of cds that you’re praying arnt scratched lol. Those were the days. 2001 I was 16 and man did I have a blast. Just wish it would have lasted a lil longer

I used to watch this as a kid. Pre KZitem I think too so not ure exactly where I was watching it or if I downloaded it off Limewire or something? Used to cry my eyes out to it because they broke up and couldn’t understand why. The access to content back then was so limited. The mystique of musicians back then is what’s missing from musicians today because we know every little detail about them

I think Tom was using a Flanger too, the settings were just different so it was much more understated & generally sounded better. Skiba probably doesn’t know the settings Tom used & has tried to approximate them

There are literally billions of comments that say it about a bunch of singers. In this case though. Mark really does sound better than studio live. Crazy how clean his voice is. Damn, Tom does too. I still try but the voice stacking, autotune, and backtrack karaoke people nowadays simply do not compare.

Is it just me or does it sound like Tom has a fair bit of autotune on his vocals at this particular performance? Maybe it's the way it's mixed and there's just really strong reverb giving it that sound but his vocals sound *extremely* "pitch-snapped" here if you get what I mean. He's definitely not against it since now he embraces using it in his Angles and Airwaves performances just for its electronic effect, so it's definitely a possibility either they tried it out here or the production company added it An example of what I'm talking about: The word "insides" in the first verse just sort of goes "insIDES" in a really unnatural way...
