@@burnedoilsit was the label. They turned in the album and got asked where the radio songs were. So as a fuck you to the label they went home and wrote rock show and first date in one night

@@ProblemAdd nah, the intro riff was definitely recorded with two guitars. Listen closely: the high notes on the D String ring out over the A String without any intermodulation distortion. If you played that on one guitar into an amp, you'd hear extra harmonic overtones amplified by the distortion. But by playing the notes on separare guitars, the riff sounds much cleaner than would otherwise be possible.

Wow. I thought this was fake because I didn’t think those chugs at end of the chorus existed in the song. Tom certainly never played them live. Just went and listened and they’re in the track tho. Mind blown
