Those are air bubbles. They are diffuse in the lymph but can agregate at blockages, joints, etc. That popping sound when you crack your knuckles or back or ankle is the air bubble popping and becoming difuse again. Most joint pain is due to these air bubbles trapped in fatty deposits. When you move you compress the air and in a hydraulic system that is not good. Great vid. That is totally a shot of lymph from the layer that flows under our skin.

I don't know if there's science behind this or just a unique personal experience. I've had two blisters in my 22 years of living. The first, on my right wrist after a classmate accidentally dropped a melted glue stick right from a hot glue gun while we were making a project. That was 8 years ago, I didn't wipe the melted glue stick cause I know that will just worsen and even tore away the burned skin. I kept my calm and let it cool and harden, then that's the time I removed it from my skin and run the wound in cold running water. I didn't do anything special to the wound after, I just left the blister alone and put band-aids on top of it and let it heal naturally. I didn't poke it and left it alone. Now, you can't even notice I had it cause there's no visible scar. You can barely see the outline of a 'scar', not unless I tell this story no one even noticed that I had it. The second one was literally 4 months ago. It was from a piping cooking oil that splashed my right palm. Again, I didn't poke the blister and let it heal naturally. I didn't put any kind of ointment either. Just a band-aid and I avoided putting pressure on the blister as much as possible. Now, I don't know if the type of skin on the palm helped but this time there isn't ANY trace of the wound left and it's like I never got a blister on my palm. I was an obedient kid so I remember whenever I get wounds (especially on the knees), they would tell me not to pick on it and just leave it alone. That kind of behavior stuck with me even as an adult and I'm honestly so thankful cause now I don't have any visible scar on my body. I remember the most 'medicine' they'll apply on me before was betadine and nothing else, but fortunately because I didn't pick on wounds or mosquito bites, I didn't have any scar.

This is God's work. Anyone familiar with the science will tell you that the animating essence that makes the simplest of organisms possible is spirit, despite no physical mechanics to move in such a way. They have no brain, no chemical means to act in such a way. There is an animator behind the scenes working it all out.
@AR15andGOD

This is related to the means by which we control our bodies, as well. What tells my body to move? My brain, obviously. But if it were my brain in control, then I would not have control of myself, and my movements would be sporadic and based purely on instinct. The fact that I can decide, before any contact with my body has been made, purely in my mind, shows that a similar process is ocurring in these creatures as well.

Thanks for this. I always wondered about it. I have this weird atopic dermatitis thing going on (I love they came up with a Latinized name that translates to "Have no frickin' idea what it is") where I get this maddening itch in a very localized space and then these blisters pop up that look just like your burn. Third thing they've diagnosed that they can't do anything about. Such is life.

Just an FYI, anyone who reads this: do not open that blister. You're opening a gateway for bacteria to go directly into your skin. Once you open your skin, it's like a door for bacteria to just walk in! Do your best to make sure you don't break it.

If you really must lance the blister (in a very painful spot that won't give your blister time to heal, for example), Lance it only near the base of the blister. The hood should always stay intact to protect the new skin underneath. The blister in this video looked to be nearly ripped off, which is not the way to do this safely.

@@kme If it was pus, it would have been sort of milky or at least cloudy in appearance, and pus also tends to smell pretty rank. Under thoseconditions, it's not a blister, it's an abcess. If it was clear fluid, then it probably wasn't pus. If it WAS pus, then it could have been due to bacteria introduced by the fly when it bit you, or just skin bacteria that got carried into the wound.

@@tomterific390 it was cloudy and kind of milky yellow? It's healing up, tho it's been weeks now. I found it ironic that this biggest blister was the only one I didn't scratch, and yet was worst of all the ones the bites caused and taking the longest to heal. I looked it up on how to deal with it, so left all the blisters alone until they popped on their own. Cleaned them and used cream etc. It just caught me by surprise bc I've never had all the bites go like this pretty much instantly after the bugs bit me. They swelled up pretty badly too, but I expected that bc it's my normal reaction. I was going to ask my dr the ndxt time I see her (which should be soon bc I screwed up my knee on that same trip) to see if she has any advice if it happens again. Bc I live out in the country anyway, next to a field of cows.
