Excellent review, as always. The only thing I personally would like more of is even more comments on the placement of vocals. I know Moondrops can feel vocal forward, which I personally like. Some reviewers consider vocals parts of the mids and don't comment further, but perhaps it's more accurate to say they're more upper-mid, which you do comment on specifically, which is good. I like even more specific commentary on vocals themselves, not just their tonal range, to remove any ambiguity. Obviously you did mention vocals, and they are a great interest to me personally so I just want more, I'm not saying the review is lacking.

I get what you mean. I don't tend to isolate vocals (or any other specifics) unless I think there's something noteworthy so most of what I'm saying about mids IS the vocals and then the soundstage and imaging covers off on the general spacing and intimacy of the presentation. If I hear something with vocals distinctly different (i.e. strong emphasis at a particular frequency or unusual placement of the sound) then I'll always call that out

That's a wild design. Now every fashion designer will be wearing them. And they sound good .For a 100 bucks how could one go wrong ?

I am the only one who has noticed how many audio manufacturers of copied Movie names for their products ? No harm in it though but it seems like their trying to take their FIRE.. You could do a funny review on that Alone.

Is it me or do I feel like Melbourne chifi audio could do with more products?

A broader range would be great from a consumer perspective, but building a store like that has many challenges when sourcing suppliers, etc.

Very good review! Do you think these punch above their price as the bl03?

I do. They're comparable with IEMs in the $100-150 range I'd say

I like the design of the A8 and it does stand out. Never a fan of BLON's stock tips. For my BL-03, I use Azla SednaEarfitLight tips with long bores to compensate on the questionable fit/short nozzle of the IEM. The IE 100 has a connector (deeply recessed MMCX?) similar to my Senn IE 40 Pro and not a fan of it.

I agree about both the tips and the connector on the IE100 - such a strange decision it seems, but maybe Sennheiser are ahead of the curve and have introduced the future of cable connectors... Time will tell

How big are the nozzles on the A8? What size spinfits do they fit?

They use the standard size tips as most other IEMs so I think that means CP100s
