If these kids can speak positive about the coach, then I don’t see a problem with him disciplining a child, that’s the problem today, a lot of these kids need discipline! This is just my opinion bcuz we haven’t heard from the other party, but I wish the media not try to destroy this black man’s character especially if he is found within his rights, peace love and reparations!

I had a coach that most kids really liked at school but he was still having “ inappropriate relations” with kids in private. I’m not saying this coach is anything like that , what I am saying is that there are people who lead different lives in private. The kids are right in wanting the other side of the story to be told but that doesn’t mean it’s the right side of the story n don’t mean it’s the wrong side either.

Yeah, because corporal punishment certainly proves that you are a great communicator, right? On the contrary, it proves a lack of communication skills.

I understand that it's not popular to use corporal punishment these days but most of my generation (50+) grew up with it. My parents used it, my school did and all of my neighbors had permission to use it if they saw me getting out of hand. I never gave them a reason to because if they would have had to, my Mama would have gave me a second helping of it when I got home. I appreciate these students standing up for their Coach. He has obviously made a positive influence in their lives when we are literally begging men to step up as role models for young people. Hopefully the school will not have a reflexive action based off of media pressure and will judge the situation fairly. That's a whole lot of kids that will be affected if he is removed from their lives. It would be a shame to see him go if he doesn't have to. It's a blessing to see all of these young people standing up for one man they love. Hopefully the school and school board will do the same.

No offense, but this is 2022, beating children up is no longer fun thing abusers can do and get away with. Abuse is abuse no matter how painful the punishment is. Corporal punishment says a lot about weak adults' inability to communicate with children.
