Hi Summer! Do you prefer this brush or the Revlon Volumizer for fine, thin hair? Since ceramic is best for my type of hair I would assume Revlon, but i know both you and Glam Girl love the Tymo. Can you educate me, please? Thank you!!

Me too. She is my go to and all her recommendations have been spot on especially someone like my with stick straight fine hair with extremely thin strands. I also get oily roots just tried the moroccan oil dry shampoo on Summerdale recommendation and its the best. I stopped using dry shampoo because it made my scalp itch like crazy. But the moroccan oil one is amazing at oil absorption and volume and zero itch or product feel so I am a very happy camper. And extremely grateful for Summer and her video. I like the way she adress her reviews aswell.

Do you like the TYMO better than using the brush attachment with the Dyson Airwrap?

I absolutely love blow dry brushes however I used the revlon for a while and got some permanent damage and breakage that onto of color and highlights with bleach I had several inches of damage that was to far gone not even olaplex could save it lol I just chopped it to chin length and I'm so tempted to try again but im worried my fine super thin strands can't handle it. I tried a lower setting but the end result was not nice. I got the dyson airwrap hoping it would be kinder to my hair but the same thing happened major frizz that was permanent and damage. Not sure what to do lol but I miss my blow dry brushes.

I mean, everyones hair type is different and not everything is a one size fits all. Were you using it every single day? Using any heat protectants?
@pandoravictoria9541

@@StylesBySummer I know... im so jealous of those with hair that can handle it because I love the blow dry brushes and miss using it and nope just a few times a month for several months and unfortunately I wasn't using heat protection shame on me 🤦♀️ I was using Paul Mitchell tea tree hair and body and I am almost certain its not a heat protectant. I have proper heat protection products now, I have moroccan oil heat protection up to 450° and I use a tiny bit of olaplex 6&7 along with a few sprays of moroccan oil leave in conditioner. Do you think the leave in conditioner and the olaplex 6&7 is enough in the way of heat protection because I usually only use the moroccan perfect defense with protection up to 450° on dry hair if im going to curl my hair. I wonder if I should be using it before blowing it dry. I just hate putting to many products in my fine thin hair lol.

@@pandoravictoria9541 Not sure how you could permanently damage your hair TWICE without thinking about using heat protectants at least the second time you tried a blow dry brush but you should NEVER use the High setting on your easily damaged hair. Also the Revlon is NOTORIOUS for how Hot it gets and the damage it creates, despite it’s enormous popularity. The Tymo, Tradewinds and Amika are all less damaging options.

@@lindahoffman2692 Linda its because it was not all of a sudden I used the revlon for months while using a leave in conditioner thinking my hair was being protected then months in I started to see little short pieces of breakage all the while still color it on a regular basis then after 3 rounds of Lightner/ bleach to go from black to highlights that were a light cool tone is what did my hair in all of a sudden it was nothing but frizz its corrected now I chopped it off and my hair looks a million times better now and even air dries with zero frizz

@@lindahoffman2692 so hope we are clear I did not damage my hair twice as you assumed I used the revlon a few times a week for several months before noticing damage but color and bleach added to the damage it was a combination of all 3.

It’s Titanium does it get to hot for thin hair or do you think ceramics would be better?
@StylesBySummer
2 жыл бұрын
I always go back and forth on titanium vs ceramic. I like the shine I get from titanium but ceramic I do feel can be a touch more gentle for repetitive use. I feel titanium gets the hair smoother though...so I'm all over the place!

I just don't think it looks the the most professional. Also, state board requires brushes to be soaked for cleaning and you are not able to clean these the same as standard round brushes.

How would you compare this one to the T3?
@StylesBySummer
2 жыл бұрын
Ooooo, good question! Both perform great! I think the main differences are the shape, TYMO is oval and the T3 is round, but does also come with a flat brush attachment, so I think that comes down to personal preference. The TYMO is a titanium barrel where T3 is Ceramic, so titanium I find gives a little bit more shine to the hair and if you have more unruly hair I think it helps smooth out the hair just a touch more than a ceramic coating.
