How do they hold the notes for so long without breathing once? That’s some insane lung capacity

The players stagger their breath so that there are no holes in the sound. It is essential that players have lots of air to support their sound so that it is relaxed and opened throughout, so they breathe more often than you might think. Players may even breathe as often as every bar or every two bars depending on the context.
