I had tickets to the rained out Sunday game, had to work Monday although everyone ended up watching the game at work. Steve Rogers was and is a class act, and the Expos would never have made it that far without him, particularly the latter half of the season. Still heartbreaking, but that group of guys gave us a lot of great memories.

I knew we were in trouble after Cey took him to the track. Rogers just didn't have anything that day.

I remember thinking Cey's hit was going out, but Monday's wasn't.

I don’t know if I agree but Dick Williams the Expos former manager who was there before Fanning he said the bigger the game & the more pressure he said “Steve Rogers wanted no part of having the ball in his hands.” Now I disagree with that but I’ve heard the stories how they had a bad relationship cause Williams wasn’t the easiest guy to play for.

Poor Steve Rogers beats himself up over the Monday home run. True fans like me remember Rogers as one of the best in baseball. Fanning's mistake was to not warm up the game 2 starter Gullickson I believe and a lefty like Bill Lee. The Dodgers won fair and square bcz the Expos scored only one run! No shame!

Fred Klein your right Lee should have been up but one thing that people forget if Jeff Reardon is healthy it’s a mood point him being hurt was a major blow.
