Tip: Isolate the microphone from near your computer while recording...otherwise you get a boom sound on your recording. Alternatively place a fold up towel under the microphone.

Another thing you can use are old mouse pads. I use two of the ones that had a cloth top surface and a rubber base. Place one top side down on your desk and then place the other over the first one with the top surface up. This puts the two rubber surfaces facing each other. You can also move or turn the mic while recording if the need arises. Just do it slowly.

I got a good chuckle with the keyboard banging and how well you stabilize yourself moving around the mic. This was the most detailed video I've found on this mic. I've had the snowball for a couple of years and it does well enough for me if I'm right up to the mic using it in the first setting. It really sucks if you're further than a couple of feet away from it. It's a great starter mic and I'm ready to upgrade.

The blue snowball was used for first verse (feature), the chorus and second were recorded by cad u37 kzitem.info/news/bejne/t26w1m2gs4WkaqA With that being said, how you set up your recording space matters as the first verse wasn’t recorded in ideal conditions. If recording music vocals on the snowball I would suggest getting a boom adapter for the standard mic stand and eq-ing some low-mid and mid-high frequencies a little higher. Great first mic and I use it when I want a warmer low end.

Good review thanks! Think it sounds alil thin & iv also heard you have to really push your mouth into this mic! Why would you have to be that close, i dont like that. Im thinking getting the Rode NT USB. Is that the same? Does the USB mics always have that low volume being picked up becoz of the weak voltage in todays sucky USB ports..? To bad we didnt have USB 3.1 with higher voltage in that case... Imean compared to the XLR on Audio Interfaces (External Soundcards with Mic Amps) To keep this short, the question was: Is it possible to get a loud & good sounding Mic for USB without having to buy a friggin Audio Interface for XLR as well...? I want a Mic that can easily handle me to be 2 feet away like you show on video, but still you can acually hear me well. So what do i need...? Is there any USB Mic that can handle this...??

I got the Blue Snowball, not the iCE version. But, I hear a constant background noise like a swish, wind, static noise when I record with it. I'm recording indoors. But, in this video, I don't hear a constant background noise at all! And you are not even using a pop filter etc. on the mic. How are you able make a clean recording like that with this mic? did you do post production editing to remove all that background noise?

I am kind of in need of a omni directional mic and this seems like the way to go because i have a very small gaming channel where a do the old fasion "point the camera and the tv screan and play games" kind of thing. And i tend to notice that the mic i use does not pic up the tv volume very well. i use a headset first of all, and i dont have speakers for my tv. and for my non snowball mmic audio, it's not very good at recording audio that's sometimes even blaring from the tv. so i think this is going to be a good deal breaker :)
