It made me sad to hear the girl say she left her 10 month old with her aunt so that she can stay in this prison type House because she needs a break and she thinks that this will elevate her career. 🤦🏽♀️ I understand that even new moms need to work and you also need a break. But the baby isn’t even a year old yet and 3 week is a LONG TIME when you have an infant. The baby will probably be detached by the time she even gets back to him. I could never imagine leaving my babies to go get drunk and fight and party etc in another state. My maternal instincts would not allow me to sleep at night. I would be SICK. Hopefully all of these girls mature at some point and see the mistakes they are making while trying to achieve fame. They are totally being exploited.

To all the black women that have class and carry themselves with dignity, I apologize to y’all cause you’ll constantly get stereotyped and prejudged as possibly “ratchet” due to women like the ones shown near end of this podcast. So you’ll always be fighting an uphill battle to prove otherwise depending on the situation. This is actually an issue and conversation that many public figures don’t seem quite ready to seriously address yet. Since black people only make up 13% of the US population, stereotypes get attributed to the entire group even if it comes from a small number of people due to the low percentage in population. This ultimately means that black people cannot afford the display of poor behavior (in media or in person) as much as another race that makes up a majority of the population. There just aren’t enough numbers of black people to help combat bad narratives that come from a small minority of people. It’s unfair, I know, but that’s just the nature of the beast. Many complexities in life yield unfair results to certain groups. We can complain about it or try to mitigate its negative effects. I think the ladder is far wiser in this case. So until behavior like this completely becomes a rarity, it’ll negatively impact all of the black women and men who carry themselves well. It’s a sad reality that this behavior is almost normalized these days. The best thing we can do is to raise our children to understand this dynamic and nurture them with attention, love and care so they can develop a healthy self-esteem. We should also carry ourselves in ways that we’d want them to emulate as young children tend to imitate what they see from their caretakers. Godspeed!
