For paints- there are so many brands you will have to choose within your budget but here is what I like to use:
#1 - I prefer Vallejo for both quality and price. Also you can get them at a local Hobby Lobby.
#2 - Citadel brand is wonderful but pricey.
#3 - I have found that Army painter is affordable but weak in its pigments so I only use them here and there for certain colors.
