Congrats for the vid, man! You sure helped me make my mind for buying one of these and play my old n64 with my new n64 wireless controller, just like you did. Best regards from Brazil!

I'm sorry if you need to repeat this, but were there any input lag?
@FairyKid64

There is a little bit because it's Bluetooth instead of a wired connection - but the lag is so low that I hardly ever notice it. It feels to me as good as a regular wired controller!

Incredibly excited to pick up a couple of these. I was hoping to order the 8bitdo n64 conversion pack for my controller as well but that’s out of stock atm.

Yeah, these adapters are really nice. The 8Bitdo controller mod kit is also pretty cool, but there are some problems with it in its current state (at least last I checked). Here's another video I made on that topic if you're interested: kzitem.info/news/bejne/ua2fvImGsKyepWksi=kQnhudsw7Vyyt0LI

How does this compare to the Retrotime N64 BlueRetro Controller Receiver with Memory Pak version? Better, worse or the same? Also, can this connect to the wireless Tribute64 V2 controller?

Edit: I'll still keep the original comment I made below, but I just wanted to do an update. I think this BlueRetro adapter actually does work 99% of the time. Lately I've been playing a Zelda ROM hack called Nimphize Adventure that's on its own repro cart, and for some reason the BlueRetro adapter from this video has problems connecting with that game specifically. But I just tried other authentic games and even another repro cart, and the adapter didn't have any connection problems whatsoever. So, anyways - I would still recommend this adapter with the caviot that it's possible it might have syncing issues if you just so happen to have the same model of reproduction cart I have for Zelda... But only this repro cart since it apparently works with my Gauntlet Legends repro cart no problem... Original comment: Hey there. So, I haven't tried the Retrotime adapter specifically, but I would assume it is a bit higher quality. Especially because something I've noticed with the adapter from this video is that at times when you first turn on the console, it's like it freezes up and it's hard to get anything to connect. But truthfully I don't know if that's something unique to this adapter or if the Retrotime adapter also has syncing issues at times since they're both based on BlueRetro. I want to get a Retrotime adapter eventually to compare the two, but one of the major downsides of the Retrotime adapter I've noticed is that it's out of stock a lot of times, whereas the adapter from this video is always available from what I've seen. And like I said, when you do connect a controller, it works flawlessly. I need to make a follow-up video though showing the initial connection problems. I might need to update the firmware too.

Watched the video Fairy Kid, very good. Just wanted an opinion on which is best this adapter or the 1 for 4 players? Really want to buy 1 but don't know which 1 has the better connection or lower lag?
@FairyKid64

So, the adapter that supports 4 wireless controllers at the same time is pretty cool. The only problem is that it doesn't work with multiple Nintendo Switch 1st party controllers (at least on its current 1.8.3 firmware). So, it kind of depends on your setup. If you're interested in connecting four NSO N64 controllers, then you'll need four of these individual adapters unfortunately. However, if you're thinking of doing one NSO controller, a PS4 controller, and two Wii controllers, then the 4 player adapter should work fine. What controllers are you hoping to use?

@@FairyKid64 I've got a Dualsense & an N64 NSO & probably going to get an 8bitdo Pro 2. I only intend on using the NSO pad with it unless some games would prefer a diamond button setup. I just wondered if there was any difference in performance? p.s. Cheers for replying!!

So retro blue better than the retro time adapter????
@FairyKid64

I personally haven't tried the RetroTime adapter. All I know is that both this RetroScaler adapter and the RetroTime adapter are based off the same BlueRetro project - just different companies make them. The RetroTime adapter is about $12 more than this RetroScaler adapter, but I don't know if that means it's better quality. Maybe I'll try to pick one up to compare.

Oh, nice! Yeah, as long as you have your wife's controller and your controller paired to just one adapter at a time, then there shouldn't be any problem!

When you remap controls, does it remap for the specific controller, or all controllers of that type? Such as can I set one switch pro controller to have one control scheme, and then my other switch pro controller to have a different control scheme?

Not that I've noticed. I'm sure there is some due to it being wireless, but it's very minimal if at all noticeable.
