Interesting lesson of Blues rootless voicings. Just a question! Could you explain the voicings over third and fourth mesure over chorus size at 2:00? It's sound very intersting and really out... Thanks!

It's a 2-5 above and below the Bb before finally resolving.

@@ghdrum I'm sorry Grant...!!! I'm afraid I didn't understand. If you don't mind, could you please explain me more?

@@bobbycrabs I think you need to understand more about 2-5-1 chord progressions. Maybe watch some videos on that. Then read my first comment again 👍

@@ghdrum Thank you Grant for answering me, I will follow your advice. Anyway in your first comment I think I understood that 2 5 1 we are talking is C#-7 - F#7 - B, which is harmonic area half steb above Bb. Am I wrong? In this case what I don't understand is why on F#7 you play A♮ instead of A#? One more thing! I dont' understand when you say "...above and below the Bb..." Why below? Sorry if I am so boring, but the concept of "playing outside" is something very, very intersting. Thanks again for your patience, I swear this will be my last post. Greetings

@@bobbycrabs playing outside is a relatively simple idea: play notes outside of the chords you're playing. It's how you resolve them that makes it sound tasteful. I chose to play above then below just because I like the way it sounds. That's it. Just start by transcribing phrases and solos you like and try to learn them. Don't overthink it.
