So I know this is a bit old, but I have some questions... So I was going to swap out my '01 Buick LeSabre stock stereo with an aftermarket one, so I could utilize Aux/USB inputs, add an amp/subs... Etc, until I realized that the wiring harness adapter would cost roughly $82, and then to keep my steering wheel controls, an additional adapter at $120 would be needed... So instead of spending $200 for that, I opted to keep the stock deck, which is theft locked and VIN locked to my vehicle. (Took almost there hours to start the car again after I put it back in... But that's a story for another time....) And I am going to build one of these as well, I have a cassette adapter that I paid $1, and picked up a Bluetooth audio receiver for $11 ($12>$200) However my Aux Cassette adapter includes a small board with some resistors on it, conveniently located right where the BT receiver will need to go to have access to power button and charge port. My question I guess is can I remove the resistors all together, or will that cause issues? I could easily extend the wires and move it to another spot, but if I can lose it, I'd like to. Sorry for the long comment, but thanks for any help

Double female connector, no soldering, no effort. cassette adapter cable plugged into double female, blue tooth device plugged into the other end of the double female. Done.

The obvious solution to this problem is to fix the cassette player or replace it with another cassette player.

awesome vid. Great explanations. Sorry about your stereo. If I may, and sorry if its been asked, in your experiments, did you try removing that stopper? The one that tells the cassette to not reverse? As far as I can tell from other videos and my own playing, cassette decks will just spin endlessly as it meets no resistance, which works because it will just endlessly play side A.

Was wiring the headphone jack as simple as wiring the output of the bt module to both the jack and cassette magnet? Or was there more you had to do?
@HeilmanHackatronics

+MrMonkeyman2424 A little tricky to solder another set of wires to the BT module, without lifting the wires already connected to the magnetics.

There's also a Bluetooth cassette adapter made by ION, and it's available online. I might get one someday along with an 8-track cassette adapter in which I will be getting and I will play it on my Panasonic 8-track player/recorder.

just take the tape feeder out of the deck, conect the Bluetooth directly I to the audio feed to the deck. you can then use the power from the deck (after relay of course so it shuts off with car). just make make a small board to step the voltage down. would be a great thing to try man! great idea you had.
