Just got my AC70 and the newest vevor diesel heater last week. Took them both out last weekend and the AC70 was an absolute work horse. Powered the diesel heater with zero issues for a good 9-10 hrs on level 4-7 which kept the pop up trailer very warm and comfy. Also charged two iPhones overnight and powered my daughter’s sound machine. After all was said and done, I had about 28% left. Highly recommend the AC70. I will say I do wish the 12v barrel plugs were there. I plan on running a fridge and diesel heater during winter and the barrel plugs would have been perfect for it.

With dual batteries one for cranking and the other for lights. And a couple of super strong power stations there's no need for installing expensive inverters like the redarc manager 30 with 150 to 200w. In an overlanding vehicle. In my humble opinion cuz it works so well for me.

Hey sir, I am on a tight budget but need to be able to power an ac unit when I’m out because my 7 year old is disabled and the temp really messes with his shunt. What size should I go with? Will be going for max of 2-3 days at a time when he’s with me. I’m just now getting into overlanding so starting off with necessities for the family. Been watching your videos and very good and helpful.

Thanks for the informative video. I actually just picked up the new AC180 for $649 and 200watt solar for $250. It seemed just too good an offer to resist. My main use is for just around the house , camping, beach, and we tailgate for football games. Should be able to power everything for that nicely. For 58 cents a WattHour, think it’s a steal. It showed up yesterday and still seems very compact and easy to transport and carry around. Only thing I wish it did have a more dedicated expansion battery options. Was maybe thinking the AC70 might be by next purchase.

I like that I can use 2 solar panels in series to solar charge AC70. And it has more intake voltage than the AC60 and B80. This is the BEST review of the AC70 I've seen so far - great job, sir, and thank you! Another reviewer cautioned about using the Power Lifting mode, saying that he thought that it could possibly damage or reduce the life of the unit. This comment concerned me because when camping my wife may want to cook pancakes on an electric skillet instead of on our propane stove, and this may require us to use the Power Lifting mode. What do you think about this? Thank you again! Like and subscribed.

Matt, do you think the AC70 would be sufficient to run a fridge and a diesel heater for a weekend? (I have a 100w Bluetti solar panel as well as a separate 300wh station for misc electronic/ lights etc ) I had originally planned on a ~1000wh station to pad myself, but at the price point I can’t ignore the AC70!!
@davidcarrico3385
10 ай бұрын
The ac70 and your 300wh station together are perfect for a weekend for those purposes if you can charge during the day (with with solar or from vehicle). The only reason you would need something bigger is if you have any devices that need more than 1000w draw (e.g many home coffee makers, induction stove, etc).
@VanWo

@@davidcarrico3385 thanks David! We don’t use any big power items like that so i’m thinking should be good. Bonus is it’s expandable capacity should my needs increase later down the road.
@davidcarrico3385
10 ай бұрын
@@VanWo just to clarify on the expansion, it’s not true managed expandability like the ac60 or ac200Max, etc. it will pull power from the expansion battery but it won’t manage or put power back into the expansion battery (as happens in managed expansion). So you would need to put your solar panel onto the expansion battery to give it power and have that power flow to the ac70, since the ‘expansion’ would be filling the solar input of the ac70.

The only issue with running both a fridge and a diesel heater at the same time is only one 12v outlet. Now one way to work around that is to get a Y 12v splitter. If you unplug the fridge while you're starting up the diesel heater you should get enough power to get the diesel heater going and after it gets going, you can plug the fridge in.

I'd personally rather have a external brick. It would allow the unit to be smaller when packing your rig is what's most important. When you're gone you don't that the brick with usually anyway enabling you to have more storage space in the rig due to the smaller physical size of the unit with an external brick. Logically speaking an external brick makes more sense for these power stations intended purpose in my eyes. No disrespect just my thoughts process. Pulling the power brick parts out of the unit would make the unit smaller so when you take it on an adventure you have more room in your rig. Also it would honestly make repairability better as well. Since the unit wouldn't have the hardware for the power brick inside it if the power brick fails you can simply replace it vs having to send the unit back for repairs.

Let’s be honest now I doubt if it would run a coffee pot for 10 minutes.. I don’t think it would even run a coffee pot. These are designed to charge cell phones and maybe run LED lights. These units won’t run very long because of the capacity of battery will overheat. You cannot run home appliances on battery cell power. Don’t take my word for it buy one and find out for yourself. I’m just commenting my opinion.😊😊
