The BLUETTI car connector has a (I’m guessing) copper spring inside that heats up and almost melts - replace the copper spring with a steel spring (that I took from other brands with the same design) and there is NO HEATING issue. 👍🇦🇺

Bluetti is playing with fire sending that Charging enhancer with a cigarette lighter option. The connection quality from that type of plug is dodgy to begin with, then you start dealing with the socket diameters varying between vehicles. I've seen some pretty loose fits. I saw the guy from Waveform Science put this enhancer through its paces. At 12V, the current draw was about 10A, which should only make that cable slightly warm. Perhaps there was a bad connection either at the socket or inside the plug itself. Still, even if that part is OK, I don't trust that setup enough to leave it unattended. The charging enhancer behaves like an MPPT controller...therefore, without any contrary programming it has the potential to try to output it's full-rated power regardless of input voltage. Let's round down to the nearest 100 and say it's trying to output 400W (very conservative).. With only 12V at the input, that's 30+ amps it would try to pull through that tiny 12V cable. I'm not saying it's normal operation according to programming of that particular unit but the potential is there. It's much safer to go straight to the battery with something fused at about 10A. Hearing you talking about the deformed spring in the plug sound's like you've had some arching and sparking going on inside of the plug or between the socket and the plug. Still radio silence from Bluetti? I've not heard great things about their customer service.

Have you heard back anything from Bluetti on the D050S yet? I do ministry work and was planning to use the D050S I’d purchased to power my AC200P. Thanks in advance and thanks for the honest review. I’ve been happy with my Bluetti products as well to date, and have three of their solar generators.

Hey. wondering if you've heard anything back yet on your issues? I find it strange how when I KZitem car charging with the enhancer there's almost no videos on it. The only videos are of people using it with solar panels whereas I would like to use it both ways like you do. I know the purpose of this is for ease of Plug and Play but I was wondering if you ditch that cheesy cigarette lighter plug and hardwire a decent gauge wire from your Jeep battery to a xt90 plug. This way you plug the enhancer directly into a xt90 plug that goes straight to your Jeep battery...Also curious what kind of charging rate you were getting off your Jeep when it heated up?

When did you buy it? I got one recently and mine works great. I noticed mine was delivered in a white box versus your brown box. More recent model?????

Hey, Christian, thank you for such an unfortunate update with the blueetic enhancer charger. I, too, bought one thinking that it would make a huge difference. But unfortunately It did not save ur money or, instead, you're better off saving that money and by yourself another. New bluetti or other company power station. So you have an extra additional power 🔋 source.

I have two of them. One came broken and it took me weeks to get ahold of them and gave me the run around. I returned it and that sent me an old used one. I didn't pay for a used one. I was pissed.

Yup their customer service is completely inadequate. Hence this is why I made the video everyone needs to know that. Thank you so much for your comment!

I contacted bluetti to get specifics on this enhancer, I know it's main focus is to allow extra charging to larger units who have separate solar charging ports and allows extra panels to plug into 7909 input but I wanted to know if it will enhance a single pv200 performance. I just bought the ac180. Any info would be great, guy I talked to didn't even know their products! The guy literally told me he didn't think it plugged into a solar panel and I said the pic literally shows it hooking up to a solar panel.

@kilswitch4336 thanks for the comment! I can confirm it does plug into a solar panel through an adapter that is provided. As far as enhancing, I do not see much of a gain. I do not see spikes in the voltage output anymore. So to me it cleans up the signal coming into your unit which seems safer but again my experience is limited. I have only put 200 watts of solar through it because we have 2 100 watt panels. Hope this helps!

Most of the bluetti products are good, the eb150 and 240 are great but no longer made or sold by bluetti. Customer service is very lacking. Pecron has units for about the same price, I just got the pecron e2000 and it is great so far, does not have a UPS feature just like most Bluetti products but does passthrough charging. I thought about buying one of these but never did. Don't know how often this happens when charging from a car, but it sounds like it pulled way too much power, which would usually trip the fuse in the car. Did it still work from solar afterwards?

He may have hot wired (from battery) to a Sig plug with no fuse ? - still the enhancer should regulated it's amps (?)

No Hot wiring involved it is the standard 12v plug in the back of a jeep JKU Sahara.

hey, can this be connected to split charge relay and then to to bluetti itself?

Is a bit confusing, it looks to me that you have an issue with the power supply cable These connectors are prone to have problems while driving due to vibrations. As with fridges and the like. Did you try a fixed connection with a fuse of 10A? Those supply cables are mostly rated 8-10A max because of overheating with high amps. Bit unfair with blaming you should know this.

DO NOT rely on getting more that 10amps out of ANY Car Cigarette lighter (12VOLT DC Socket!!! They are rated to 12Volts at 10amps MAX and the wiring feeding those sockets in you are is MUCH smaller that you will need in order for the charge enhancer to do its job properly and safely Simple math on the Outpu will show you need 12Volt 20+amps input to get the output of ~50Volts at 450watts. 8AWG would be the Minimum Size to use in your vehicle and then a protected direct to Car Battery connection with an XT90 Connector on that wire end.

Bluetti Finally came through with a replacement last month (white Box). I will be taking it with me on a camping trip this week in NH so we will see but I do know my burnt up DO50S was one of the first production runs. I will let you know how it did soon.
