Vibram will resole any shoe for $75 including shipping both ways. You also get to pick the type and color of the new sole. The leather uppers should last a long time and $75 is pretty good to keep your favorite shoes going.

I just recently picked up a pair of leather lined round toes and I honestly like wearing them more than alot of my sneakers for comfort reasons..

A far better boot is Rossi 301 or 303. 100% Aussie made. Unlike the Blundstones which are made in Vietnam. I purchased a pair of soft toe Rossi boots 303 in 2008. They wore out earlier this year. I used them for work, gardening, especially using them to kick out the grass roots of an old lawn. I have worn them to the beach, the rough bush, and I even worn them when going out. The only leather conditioner I've ever used is Dubbin. Rossi boots are very comfortable to wear. The only con, the boot is slightly heavier, due to the thickness of the sole. But once you start wearing them, you can feel that the heel strike that is very springy. For a street boot, Blundstones is suitable. But when it comes down to the hard yakka, they don't measure up. I purchased two pairs of Blundstones (made in Vietnam) in the past. Treated them like the Rossi, and within six to eight months, they started to fall apart. As for the price. I went to a tradie store to compare prices. The Blundstone boots (made in Vietnam) was only $7 cheaper than Rossi 301 or 303 (made in Australia). Also, the Rossi boots comply to Australian standards ISO 9001 Quality Management System. What standard does Blundstone adhere to? 11 years vs six to eight months, and only $7 more expensive. Value for the money and longevity, Rossi is a far better quality product. And yes, I have used them for street wear. And yes. I had someone stopped me to ask if I was wearing a pair of Blundstone. I showed the boots, and watch the jaw dropped. rossiboots.com.au/

I can see reaching for this boot for muddy garden, camping, F/W beater to wear for errands or work commute. Purposeful and functional are the words to describe this boot. Full grain leather is huge plus but I can't see paying more than $150 for a non-GYW or Blake stitched shoe. For the same price or less one could get Allen Edmonds Tate, Surry, Nomad or something from their weatherproof line-up for a similar aesthetic with full grain leather and GYW. Eastland, Timberlands, Dr. Martens and so many others offer glued boots for way less. Of course these less expensive offerings will be corrected grain or genuine leather but if the sole is glued rubber that can't be resoled to brand new, I can't see why one would one pay extra for full grain/ top grain.

On the store, the 562 felt very loose and my foot literally were "dancing" in it, however the 510 were more tighter around my upper foot part. The seller said they'll strech after sometime. I usually am 10.5 size but the 10 felt a bit tighter around it tho my thumbs felt good and had space to wiggle it a bit. Now after few days wearing it they fit my leg perfectly. Still, wearing it with two socks instead of one.

If you don't mind a more utilitarian look, I'd heavily recommend the Redback Ubok (Or Easy Escape if you look at the American store). Has a more commando looking sole and some extra stitching but apart from that, they feel absolutely wonderful and have pretty much caused me to shunt my other shoes ever since I got them. They're still 100% made in Australia and are known for being insanely durable.

Redback are awful bro, the sole has an awful design and the logo looks like a death metal band logo. Blunies can be wear with a good pair of jeans and they fit well for a date, in the office or hiking.

I've had mine (500) since 2006 and wore them daily ... the soles finally died, other than that, the leather and structure are still working. Looking to buy a new pair ... wondering how mass production has affected the quality.

Pretty good except the heels. Already going through the second layer. Might be looking at a hole soon. But that’s understandable because I drag my heels
