I just used the renovation cream in rustic for my rustic brown blundstones and it worked perfectly. It didn’t overly darken them, they look almost exactly like the day I got them about 5 years ago! Very happy with the outcome!!

Yes- their rustic will keep the colour! They brought that out after I recorded this video

Nice video. Would've been nice to see you use the renovating cream too. I have a pair in crazy horse brown and would be curious to see how they look after application

Great point - next one maybe! The cream works well, it's much the same as a polish cream and they match really well. Just make sure that your boots are clean and apply as you would polish. Hope this helps!

I do a thick coat. Keeps that color nice and strong and boot looks brand new.

It’s supposed to be a thin coat

If you do a coat that’s too thick it’ll attract dirt and dust and it won’t really add much protection. It’ll be worse overall. You’re really supposed to rub the oil in and get rid of the excess. Unless you use the boots only indoors or something.

I see your soles are worn as are mine. I’ve had mine since 2014. I’ve worn them for PMC work in Afghanistan and Africa. I love them but very expensive (worth it). My question for you and anyone with them is has anyone had them resoled? I just need more tread.

Great stories and the travels and value of your Blundstones! Once you've worn through the sole, it's time for a new pair Eddie!

You can’t use the polishing pad on 585’s. It says it’s not good for Nubuck and the 585’s, among others, are Nubuck.
@SalinaStarr

@@gryphgryphon3366 I’ve learned since that my above comment is incorrect. 585’s are brushed leather. But the polishing pad should not be used on 585’s because they’re not smooth leather. It will wreck the finish. The renovating rustic cream can be used on 585’s. That what I’ve been using and it’s great.

@@gryphgryphon3366 the 585 is rustic classic brown. There’s no other version of 585. So yes you can use the rejuvenating cream on it.

@@gryphgryphon3366 you’re literally an idiot. Go on the website and watch 585. The only one that shows up is the rustic classic brown. There’s only one boot that is a 585. It’s doesn’t come in any other material or colour. Each boot and colour has a different number genius. And I emailed Blundstone when I got mine asking for the proper instructions because I couldn’t find any info on how to care for nubuck Blundstones (I thought they were nubuck because of the way they look) and that’s when I was corrected. They said they’re brushed leather and that the rustic rejuvenating cream and the waterproof spray are the best products for them. I’ve literally used both on my 585’s multiple times and they’ve never changed the colour of them or ruined them and they look brand new even though I’ve had them and wore them constantly (besides the summer) for 2 years.

@Gryph Gryphon delete all your comments because you realized I’m right? 😂 as per the last one you deleted, I was literally told by Blundstone that brushed leather and nubuck aren’t the same.

Hi there, I have the black renovation cream and it starts flaking all over the boot the next day, which is extremely difficult to remove. I was wondering if you knew why, and what I should do next. Thanks! Nice video

I haven't seen the cream flake before, but you might try a heat gun on low setting to soften it up and a nice clean rag to wipe and remove the product. (Let me know if this works for you!) Pete

Great video. What boots are the brown blundstones on the left ? They look like the dress chisel toe but they don't do a brown only the stout brown which is basically black. Thanks

Do i need to buy the mink oil for the black 510 bluns on the right, or the renovation black cream and waterproof spray of blundstone are sufficient?
