In a decade of incredible bands and artists (Nirvana, Wu, Oasis, Black Crowes, TragicLly Hip, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Trmple Pilots, Tribe Called Quest, etc etc). Blur to me delivered the greatest output in terms of great albums that have held up so well. That’s me

These guys are great. Just got back from the gym listening to my Brit-pop playlist with some of their tracks on it. Very Beatlesque this one

Awesome reaction! Yeah, I'm Just A Killer For Your Love wasn't the best introduction to this album (Beetlebum on the other hand is amazing, one of their absolute best). In fact, it's regarded as one of the weaker tracks, and it's easy to see why (as you've pointed out in the other video as well). Still, I truly recommend listening to the whole thing. There's enough variety and emotionality for it to be a quite engaging experience, even if a bit messy and dragged on at times (btw the drowned out vocals were 100% intentional, they're present in a few other songs, though not as prominently. It's their "lo-fi" album for a reason). "Death Of A Party" and "Strange News From Another Star", for instance, are incredible gems.

Damon Albarn, the lead and lead writer of both Blur & Gorillaz was dragged by Taylor Swift fans recently with them claiming she’s a better songwriter 😂😂

He was absolutely wrong with that comment lol, though her fanbase and the whole media response to it took it way too far. There's just no need to discredit another artist to make a point, however valid it may be (both sides were guilty of this). Both Damon and Taylor are great songwriters in their own right, and I say this while much preferring the former.

Damon is great. You should listen to Out of time, also Hostiles from his Everyday Robots solo album. Both introspective songs about modern life.
