Why you didn’t show the crank bolt removal? That is the hardest part.

Good video. I see you placed the chain tensioner instead of using the special tool (that one that should be tightened to 0.6Nm). I guess at the end the idea is to keep the chain properly stretched before tightening the camshafts screws. Cheers

Timing the engine with the chain tensioner instead of special tool won't properly tension the chain, because the real tensioner is hydraulic and has to be under constant oil pressure to properly tension the chain

I can see that the old plastic cassette has bits missing around the crank sprocket. They will be in the sump and will eventually block the oil pick up. N42, N43, N45 and N46 all have this problem - you MUST remove the sump and clean it and the oil pick up of any plastic fragments. I always fit a new crankshaft sprocket as well as it comes with most chain kits. Never EVER reuse the old crank and cam pulley bolts!

If the cassette hasn't dropped in the sump, does the sump then still have to be taken off or? I really need some help as I am getting stressed and don't know what to do. In a manual I found about the N43 it says you have to take it apart but in these youtube videos you don't see anything like that

Arborii de echilibrare din baia de ulei se echilibreaza fixand un bolt de 6mm in acea gaura, nu sunt vibratii deoarece au fost echlibrati.

Because it adds a lot of time to the job, as the sump needs to come off.

@@jonnyrochester1141 You should remove the sump if and only if there are bits missing from the cassette. If the cassette is intact the sump stays on as the balance shafts don't move position once the crank bolt is out.

Nu stiu ce eroare este aceasta, eu merg pe descrierea lor nu pe coduri. Inlocuirea lantului s-a facut datorita unei necorelari a axelor cu came cu vibrochenul.

after t chain replacement my car started to rev and vibrate much more than before ? any ideas
