During my motorcycle safety class last weekend I had the bmw g310R (the one below this) I was searching for Neutral for so long. I found it easy to go to 2nd and do a quick tap and you’ll usually go into neutral about 95%

1:23 - its all subjective feelings. Monster without belly pan looks catastrophic from the side, out of proportions, the front is controversial too. MT09 front is just a joke to me, if someone is looking for perversions in life maybe its a right choice. To me making products looks weirder is not getting forward in design. Beside each other f900r is a lot wider and looks much more muscular than Monster. I have sold my Monster after one season of riding and bought f900r in that exact colour. Honestly BMW feels just upper class to me. I would never switch back to that Ducati, even the sound was so much disappointing comparing to f900r which is absurd(v2 vs r2). Equipment is another story, I paid more for bald Ducati than almost fully equipped BMW. F900r is a great bike, perfect to me, cant wait for the season.

You’re right, it’s all subjective. Love hearing from people who have actually owned the bikes. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences!

I the Beemer has a certain class about it. It looks like a quality bike. I also notice a lot of older Beemers. I see K75's out there still running. The longevity and quality of their builds stand out to me. I'm in my 50's so my need for speed is less a priority than it was. I want something that won't throw me and will last, but still give me fun.

@@cbwelch4 I think you nailed it in terms of this bike's appeal. It's certainly quick but it offers a lot more than just outright performance. The things that make this bike good will likely appeal to more relaxed riders.

Does this bike can be compared with the Trident 660 or it belongs to a different league?
@ridexdrive

It's comparable in some ways, but in other ways, it's about a half step up from the Trident. That doesn't necessarily translate to the riding experience though.

Wow! First great review of this bike. Kind of surprised at the review on this bike it sounds ok but not like a top 3 option. It does not sound like you would recommend this bike.

Thanks! I would definitely recommend it if it appeals to you. Nothing wrong with this bike, it's just a bit vanilla in my opinion. But never buy something based on someone else's opinion. Try and get a test ride on one and if you like it, get one! They are objectively good bikes. Thanks for the comment!

I bought one of these as a first bike. I'm a little older so not worried about killing myself but I did drop it at zero speed, it's a heavy bike. I know I'll keep it and eventually it will my main ride but it's pretty heavy: 465 lbs. Bought a Svartpilen 401 as a second bike to learn on.

Yeah, you don't realize how heavy 400+ pounds is until you're lifting it off the ground haha. I love the Svartpilen! Cheers.

should've went with the MT09, it weighs 420 pounds, it's a very nimble bike

@@dariomladenovski7047 Yeah live and learn. I'm very comfortable on the BMW now. It's still a great bike.
