It's in the car and driving, but still tuning, there's videos of it running, 340-350hp is the target, too much done to write here , if you go back to my early videos I go through the combo, it's definitely a hamburger with the lot

Nice work! Can you give some more information on the alternator? This is not stock right? Brand, make, mounting? Thanks in advance!
@Grooty79
6 ай бұрын
The alternator is a self exciting 70 amp unit I bought off eBay, the pulley is a custom one my friend makes and all I did was add a spacer underneath to make the mounting tab fit the factory mount, I used this alternator due to the internal fan as this motor will rev to 8200rpm so it's also a safety thing, it may be to small to power the car but will have to wait and see,

Love all the detail on that engine! cannot wait to hear it. how high do you plan on revving it?
@Grooty79
6 ай бұрын
It's built to rev to 8500rpm but should make maximum power around 7800-8000rpm so I'll limit it 250rpm over maximum power production,

Just amazing work men 😮 I notice that you delete oem water pump and thermostat housing, just give me a help Grooty in my case im making a stroke m20 too but can i delete thermostat housing but still continue with original water pump?
@Grooty79
6 ай бұрын
Yes deleted both, I wouldn't suggest deleting thermostat with STD pump as then there is no controlling the coolant flow/temp, you could run a in line thermostat, the thermostat blank we're running is "Leo Grande racing"

Coming along great - sorry if I missed it, but what are the header specs?
@Grooty79
6 ай бұрын
The headers are 800mm-900mm long 6into1 pipes I built, pipe size is 1 3/4" and flanges are some home made billet ones I made on the lathe that taper from port size out to primary size, there a tad large on the diameter but I didn't purge weld them so expecting some turbulence so the oversized pipes should balance that out hopefully, also hpc coated inside and out 💪💪💪

@@Grooty79 awesome, great stuff. I’m in the middle of building a stepped scavenged M20 header. Flow data pointed to similar specs regarding length and primary size, good to see others using a similar spec

Hi. Sir Hello from Argentina. I have a question for your sir . I have an M20 engine and automatic transmission. I have plans to swap this engine and transmission into an e36 1993 . Many people say my engine is almost garbage to the e36 . Instead of that is all i have . I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you in advance.
@Grooty79

Issue you will have is the E36 requires a rear hump sump and M20 have front sump, you could make it fit but might not be worth the effort,

@@Grooty79 thank you for your help. Perhaps I can make some reforms. And make it fit. What are your thoughts about it … is the only engine I have … and I praise god for that. But certainly is my only chance. For me is enough engine just because is for an easy going usage means take my parents to shopping and doctors and some other mostly city use . !thank you for your help!

@@PieroIvanMontemaggioreschreibe maybe see if you can find another engine that will fit easier, Toyota or ford etc, if the engine has rear hump sump Ide use it, you could mount the M20 forward a bit but might run out of room, best finding another cheap engine to fit that will fit easier
