Great video! I have owned a 2015 M4 and now have a 2020 992. Your 4 reasons for the choice were spot on! I got my 911 when I could afford it, didn’t wanna jump from lancer evo to Ferrari. Keep up the great vids!

@@DriveSteadyI love it! By far the best car I ever owned. Best way I can describe it is, “An effortless sports car”. It drives great and does most of the work itself. Felt drivingvv the M4 was “meaner” and lots of fun, but really enjoying the better built car.

I went from a G82 comp with the ultimate pack in to a 992 S as a daily. Totally agree on the bucket seats, look amazing and fairly comfortable once in but as I daily I got to the point of dreading getting in and out of it. M4 had all the tech but for me the PDK and the engine note sets the cars apart. The M4 inside the cabin sounded fake to me, the squeaky brakes were annoying and the side on profile could be mistaken for a normal 4 series. Brand snobbery definitely plays a factor but the 911 is iconic and there is certainly more of a wow factor when you put your foot down. Great video!

Great video, and excellent comparison. The M4 is plush and fast, but at the end of the day it’s a sporty car. The 911 is less comfortable but more serious and is a sports car through and through without the compromises of an M4 and it’s shared car platform. Both are excellent choices, my choice has always been the 911 or cayman but I wouldn’t complain about driving an M4 either.

18:33 there's a mistake. You called the 911 "a boxer engine, a flat 6 engine". It's neither of those; it's a horizontally opposed 6 cylinder. Boxer engines opposing pistons share the same crankpin & flat 6s are inline, but slanted 90*. Horizontally opposed don't necessarily share crankpins, but they cylinders are 180* off one another, and may or may not share crankpins between two opposing cylinders.

Personally i find all car companies have ruined dashboards with ever bigger screens and ditching buttons. Same with later bmws. I hate the kitchen counter size screen.

have you had the chance to drive the new m2? Also would you say that the m4 is enough? This would be my only car. Some people say you HAVE to go xdrive. Either RWD m4 or new m2. I've taken the older 911 out of the equation.

I have driven the new m2. I like it. The review is posted on my channel. You don't have to go xdrive. I recently drove the base m4 manual with less hp and rwd and it's more than enough. Video is also on my channel. So base or comp rwd m4 is awesome and I would argue more fun. M4 vs m2 is tough but maybe M4 because it has a little more room for a daily. They both drive pretty similar.

911 no Brainer unless you really need the greater usability, actually costs you less since the depreciation rate is significantly lower

M4 doesn’t depreciate much either. Cars like 5/7 series and Cayenne lost value very quick tho. 911 and M3/4 both hold their values pretty well

These two cars are aimed at different markets, so not sure why thy the comparison. Also, these cars shine on fast, flowing country roads, so doing a review on straight suburban roads seems pointless to me. I'm a 911 and M3 owner so I understand these cars, and driving them in this way makes no sense to me. Just my $0.02 as always. Not right or wrong.

I like the aggressive looks of m4 way more. But I would never buy it. Why because all the 20-year-old kids that are living with their mom and dad, here are driving m4s. the reason is the stereotyping of the people who are driving it that will make me never buy it. on the other hand Porsche drivers are eighther bunch of 60-year-old dudes or younger guys who try to look successfully but are not...So basically I wouldn't buy any of them....😂😂😂

There is NO comparison. The Porsche could be spectacular over the BMW, but the reality is it's 50% more expensive than the BMW. Case closed. If you even consider either car then $ isn't really a thing. This is a dumb comparison.

@@NoirBéniProper Not sure why that matters, and I've driven LOTS of performance cars and raced them. It wasn't about the performance but the price. Comparing two disparately priced cars makes no sense. They had to add every option to the M4 to make it come close to the 911 in price. Both cars are in different leagues - simple.
