I have the 04 R1150R and have the Michelin roadsport 4 and my buddy has the 6 on his RT 12, insane water channel and dry traction and I've had Pirelli's, Bridgestone, Metzler & Dunlop's on this bike and the Michelin roadsport blows them all away. My buddy with the 12 strongly agrees. Ride safe! 🏍️

Great bike. I did 15000 km on it mostly to commute and it has never failed me. The RPM is a bit low, it should be between 1100 & 1150 +/- 50. The engine will sound much better

I eventually sold her ! nothing wrong with the bike it just wasn't what I need. it took me a while to realise I don't need a tourer as I don't do any touring. But the guy who bought it was over the moon and would use it properly . I have to say this bike was beautifully made solid and very innovative some design features were fantastic . Every part was solid and really well thought out.. 👍🏻☮❤

I don’t really bother to do that anymore but I do know that licensed dealers etc can get owners addresses through the Land Transport computer thingy and as we all know 2nd hand car and bike dealers and auto wreckers are all honest Joes !!

Like you, my legs are 30 inches on a good day. I'm curious how you have gotten along with Rita. I'm looking to buy this model here in the USA and am concerned about being too tall for me. Long term are you comfortable with the lowest seat height setting? Knowing what you know now, ... would you still this BMW model? Thanks in Advance!

on the low seat it was fine I could get both feet flat .. I don't own the bike now. I couldn't get on with its bmw ness. Unless you've owned a bunch of boxer twin bmws you're in for a surprise. .. You need to do lots of miles too .. They are a pig around town .. a giant pig .. But on the open road you couldn't get a better tourer in my opinion .. build quality is second to none . it was built like a tank .. and rode lik e a tank at low speed . I didn't do the miles to appreciate it .. Also didn t like the electric servo assisted brakes . but the abs was great.. the electric screen was also brilliant.. and for a massive bike it was balanced really well .. I wouldn't get another one because I don't do long trips ..These are not for quick blasts.. But 2 up with luggage perfect . 👍🏻☮❤

It was a genuine BMW accessory came with the bike . I would look up baglux either usedon ebay or new . They do a tank cover and selection of bags. They do most models . ✌️💛

If you're going to do miles it'll be perfect . I was only doing short trips so it wasn't right for me ..But of all the 52 bikes I've owned it was the best built and designed .. It's perfectly balanced on the centre stand . It's amazing road holding for a huge bike .. The brakes are scary sharp if you have the electronic servo version also they are linked front and rear . They feel very sharp at first but you get used to how great they are quickly.. The throttle bodies need synchronizing regularly maybe each service ? you will know if they need tuning if the warm idle gets erratic ..and starts to hunt below 1100 rpm .. it's not a major job . I had mine done at the local shop and it transformed the bike .. I loved the 3 way adjustable seat ? the massive luggage and the shaft drive .. Again I didn t do enough miles to appreciate it bit so sold it to a guy who commuted to work and he loves it .. The gears are a thing too . You really need to short shift and let the bike torque do the work ..I was shifting like a jap four ..this doesn't work ..shift up through the gears earlier than you would think and she'll just cruise along .. I would thoroughly recommended one .. Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮❤ let me know how you get on .👍🏻

@@mikkei3532 they sound good . I always have issues in the wet in terms of tyre confidence. It's incredible how the same tyres can act so differently on different bikes..my 1200 bandit has mich road power 2s . what it came with ..they are very much soft grippy almost slick tyres (race type looking) but somehow they work really well in the wet too.. ok not what I would choose on a 1200 bandit I thought they would be lethal in the rain ! when I need new boots I will look into all the options. thanks for your feedback. you never know what's good unless you try every tyre . cheers buddy 👍🏻😊☮
