I almost give you a tomb up but you install dirt tires on a street bike, tall handle bar and a ugly seat. I almost give you a tomb down but you did a good job with motor and chassis

Great work! Since im working on my own r80 project and your black block inspired me - how did you paint it and what did you use? Is it powdercoated? Thank you for sharing your work! 👍🏼
@MrUdib

Well, Powdercoat is the best, but I didn't want to taking apart all of the engine parts (crank mainly), so it's a wet painting, but all the rest body part is powder, gas tank and front fender wet as will.

udi baruch Thank you for quick response! Do you know which painting you used? Did you do it by yourself without heating it after painting? Did it change its colour later? Im afraid of the crank aswell and hope to save some time with a wet painting but cant decide which one i should take.

@@dp5322 no heating, silk color paint. Pro shop did the painting.

Nice presented video. Looking to do the same with my R65. After the engine was painted did you just sand back the highlight areas and BMW logo? Was this an afterthought? did it damage any of the edges of the paint work? Keen to do the same but haven't seen any videos on exactly how they do it. Using tape before hand on thin fins not suitable. You have a Blessed name!

Hi, Tnx. It has been brushed after paint, which can cause paint chips around it so better to brush it before painting and mask it.

Hi, TKC 80 are very good for wet road too. Handlebars for a cafetracker, not a racer. 🤘

@@MrUdib this looks great! What are your thoughts on grit getting past the engine seals when blasting? I've tried soda blasting on a complete engine but it's not abrasive enough.
@MrUdib

@@dannyaustin84 well, I don't know to say. Soda is delicate and requires a lot of work for a decent cleaning. But safer, I think.

Thank you for the video Udi ! Did you clean the block with dry ice ? And did you change the original BMW/Bosch ignition timing for something all electronic ? kzitem.info/news/bejne/tYatvGZpkIZ7eGk

You're welcome 😊 Block cleaned with soda blast as shown in the video. The original bosch is really good so I left it as is.
