Thanks for the great video such a cool variety of looks to the same year limo. My parents had a 56 Cadillac limo in the mid to late 60s. We towed an Airstream travel trailer behind it for 3,500 miles every spring vacation. Now, all of these years later, I have hopes to Buy my own 56 Caddy limo to convert into a pop up camper to live in.

WOW, to think that these were normal cars back then to plop down the money and drive away. Cheap gas and Route 66 to cruise from Chicago to California in luxury with a car you could sleep in based on those really wide bench seats.

GM no longer saw a reason to build these anymore. However, most of these were built for airport and funeral services. Now they just stretch the XT5 or XT6 platform. Most people who would ride in those won’t care anyway since it’s just transportation. I saw a CADILLAC CT6 sedan this weekend at a store. What a nice sedan but they stopped building those after less than 5 years. That’s a shame.

Hate to nit-pick, but the long wheelbase, series 75 Cadillacs without the glass partition and black leather front, driver seat were called, per the factory, "formal sedans," not "limousines."

Of course you are technically correct, but since from the exterior one cannot tell whether it has the distinguishing divider window, the general public sees any Cadillac 75 as being a Limousine.

I love '56s! They got all the cues and lines right for the '54-'56 generation in addition to the larger engine and re-designed Hydra-Matic! Everything afterwards were also-rans!

Those bumpers were sex. Even better with rubber tips. Then GM stopped making them. They uglified them and cut back on quality. No more massive hoods.

Hi, I made the video 9yrs ago. So I was a rookie making videos and by adding too much info made the video longer and back then videos were only allowed to be so long in time so had to keep it short.
