Hey folks, in this video I present the solutions to the issues that I discovered while using the light microscope from BNISE (model number WRB03, 100x-2000x).
For inspecting CPU silicon dies, the following problems occurred:
1.) Navigating the silicon die. As a X-Y stage was missing, I simply upgraded the microscope with the movable table branded by KEYREN (purchasable on EBAY for less than 20€: KEYRENkrm1gag37f). It is fixed directly onto the microscope table and if fully compatible with the BNISE model WRB03
2.) Weak light at magnifications above 500x. A separate flexible gooseneck LED with 900 Lumen fixed this problem. One might consider buying two or three (available on EBAY for 40€, brand SHUN CAN DA, 6006-9M)
3.) Good image processing. The mobile phone adapter was a great addition to the microscope, but transferring the image to a monitor or computer, and looking at a large live image at the correct inversion was only possible with a separate digital camera (16MP HDMI USB2.0 industrial-camera kit from FastUU, available on EBAY for 80€; FastUU9mpu1a4wn-01)
But do not miss out the last part where I demonstrate the solutions with some nice video shots of two different 80386 CPUs from Intel, and the 68000 from Hitachi.
