As sustainability takes center stage in global discussions, it's time for boards in the Asia Pacific to step up as stewards of sustainability, urged Sunil Puri, our Head of Research and Engagement at Stewardship Asia Centre (SAC).
With the support of 13 institutions across 11 countries, we kickstarted a survey last year and gleaned insights from as many as 700 directors.
To truly steward sustainability, boards must shift their mindset, viewing sustainability as more than just compliance. Forward-looking boards lead change proactively, embedding sustainability into the organisational culture and decision-making processes.
