Great BoC cover! You've nailed the sounds here, and make me want a Minilogue more than ever.

;) Minilogue have certainly not the features of MicroKorg... but!!! he's 100% analogue (maybe not for the delay...) and have a very good sound with a taste of early time of Synths... for Boc seek sound is very perfect ! and for this price, a fully analogue polyphonique unit was unexpected... Minilogue became the central piece of my gear now (but i still love Microkorg /King korg and my old M-50 ;) )

Haha you're right, the features for both are different, and though I still enjoy my MK, I've been wanting an analog synth for years. :) The bug bit me when I was lucky to play on some Eurorack modules and an EMS Synthi in college, but those cost thousands of dollars. But I was blown away when Korg released an polyphonic analog synth at this price point, and you managed to get a great sound out of it. Needless to say, it's on my wishlist. ;) Keep up the great work, Alain!

Wonderful cover! I have a Minilogue too. Love that sound you got there. Looking to get a Volca Sample as my main drum machine.

the stuffs that make VolcaSample is great are you can load your own sounds Inside (even with a Pc now via the "sync in" plot) you can play 10 voices pattern and the analogue isolator is very efficient ... The volca Sample and Volca Beats make a very good addition ... i have not explored all capacity yet

Well Sir, you obviously have a great taste in music. And you nailed the drums. But the minilogue doesn't do it at all for me :-/

mmmh ... i have to say... the Minilogue is not an easy synth. The sound is not clean at all (the delay is a nightmare! So i use a external delay the most part of time). For this it's perect for vintage and/or LoFi sounds but, it's hard to make a nice sound to debut. it's could be nice to have an synth experience before. If you need help or question feel free to ask me ;) because it's a beautifull Synth !

It's hard to put my finger on it, but the minilogue just doesn't sound very good to me, it lacks the fatness. For BoC kind of sounds there are many better choices, maybe not in this pricerange, but a Deepmind 6 would come to mind. Or a Bass Station 2 for the SH-101 Vibe. But i really enjoy your covers, keep it up!! BoC Old tunes is so great stuff to cover, since it's so simple yet brilliant. What you didn't get is this "whirling" rough sound of the original. In the original you don't hear the attack, so maybe yours is a little to short, and the delay just doesn't fit imho.

hahaha i understand, the sound of BOC is a mystery that i try to explore but not in my cover ;)(it would always be a disappointment) i play the tune with my ressources, and without post edition, or mastering, or mixing. The Deepmind looks great ... but expensive (ok he's the most cheap in his category), the BassStation is a very nice Synth, sound better than minilogue in a way, indeed (as MicroBrute and MiniBrute) but Monophonic it's another kind of Synth for me. if you want a nice analog in low price take a look to Timbre Wolf by Akai ... very nice synth with 4 voices (4 synth in one in fact) without delay but with 4 output slot and 4 sequencers (!!!) ... but ... the Minilogue have a kind of ... i have no vocabulary for that (my poor English) ... the minilogue inspire me ... not the Timber Wolf ... the Timber is a cold tool. i use it when i have idea, when i know what i have to do... the Minilogue give the idea and the mood (don't know if i use the wright words... :-/ )

It is so super hard indeed. I'm almost finished with my "Up the march bank" version where i got pretty close i think, i hope i get the last synth solo right, i'm struggling with the melody. These BoC tracks are so good, you only realize how good these dudes are when you recreate it. If only a slight thing is off, the whole sound doesn't "fit". Well i'm happy for you that you like the minilogue, it's all about having fun and enjoying the music!
