Try Girot’s Garage Interior Cleaner for all surfaces inside your boat. Works great and won’t ruin anything. I always go back over with 303 protectant for UV protection.

Great video. Just bought a Used MB Sport B52 and it’s in my garage for the winter now. Can’t wait to try these techniques in the spring when the weather is warmer and I can pull it out to clean it. Pumped for next season with my first wakeboard boat. Season is short here in Canada. Keep up the great work and keep those videos coming!!!!!

Thank you Brent! Glad I can help. I hear you on the short season as I'm in Montana. I use a full wet suit and go April through September here. April is rough but it makes May not so bad, haha.

Also if you have a Costco close there detailing towels are dirt cheap and should never scratch the boat.

There are many good brands of cleaning and care products for boats and autos. It really comes down to how much effort and how often you put in the work to keep it clean and protected.

Acetone for rub marks on gel coat. Manufacturers approve of use. Works great. Just use a little wax over the spot you treated and your good to go.

True, but I've found it needs a polish and wax after acetone so I really don't use it much.

What kind of pressure washer do you use on your boat? Would be neat to see how you use the pressure washer in a safe way to clean inside and out of boat.
@wake_mann

I use an electric pressure washer, only 1800 psi. I normally only pressure wash the sea dek on the interior when I notice it starting to discolor a bit. I did this one time on my 24 mxz in 350 hours as my interior rarely sees dust but I've done it on the trailer sea dek many times with no problems. I will film it when I do it in the spring and share.

👍🏼Super Clean!! It is acid based, but follow directions, and the stuff works great! Ford brake pads are super annoying and cheap! Our Mustang which came with the Brembos and gloss black rims last for about 10 miles before needing washing. I changed mine at 2500 miles to low dust ceramic... either hawk or ebc( it was a few years ago). Great video!

I like the Meguiars Extreme Marine line of stuff. They come in 32oz bottles instead of the 16 like their classic marine/RV stuff. And if you ship around eBay etc you can find them for the same price so it’s double the product 👍🏻

How would you clean the finger prints and other marks on your Malibu screen
@wake_mann
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Josh, I've simply used my t shirt or microfiber towel and water vinegar solution so far. Pre 2015 the screens are a little more sensitive so may use a less acidic solution but ever since 2015 they are using a gorilla glass like material and very durable.

How do you clean a carpeted ski locker if the ski locker is in the bilge and the boat has sat for a year w/o being used, cleaned, or properly dried
@wake_mann
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Will, if it were me I would probably use some Super Clean and scrub it, then pressure wash it and let it dry out in the sun. There are other carpet cleaning products out there you can use as well but we just cleaned an area rug in our house with super clean and it worked quite well. Make sure to dilute it properly though, I believe it's 16 parts water to 1 part Super Clean. If you have access to a shampooing machine that would get in the locker that may work great too. Or try Starbrite Carpet Cleaner, specifically designed for marine carpet.

I would have it polished then ceramic coated

Ceramic coatings seem pretty cool but I dont mind a little extra cleaning, a reason to spend more time with my boat, haha
@dcasandman

Me too, but I love doing that stuff. I’d still be cleaning and topping it off every week even with ceramic. Just gives me a reason to get polisher out and bring out insane gloss.

I like this series of videos but he intro music is pretty awful. The volume difference between your initial intro, then intro music, then actual content is all over the place. Thank you for taking to time to make all the helpful videos!
@wake_mann

Thank you! I've heard about my intro many times and have adjusted the volumes. I'm sorry you don't like the intro music but i don't have any plans on changing it for now. I suggest you leave your headphones off for the intro or skip it. Im just guessing you use headphones because the complaints about my intro usually come from those wearing headphones.
