I recently purchased a boat that has trim tabs. leveling out the boat side to side was explained but this is the first I have heard about using it to control bow bouncing. Thanks for the tip!

When I was in the Navy- a long time ago, and as someone who worked below the waterline, I came up with this mnemonic trick to remember port & starboard. The size of the words. Red, left, port. (Smaller words.) Green, right, starboard. (Larger words.) Thanks for making all these awesome videos Ladies! 🙏🏽

I've just got my first boat. A 31ft center console equipped with twin 225 white Mercury's. I lost my lower engine parts costing me around $3K maintenance due to driving in shallow water without trimming up my engines. Simple mistake I could've avoided learning the basics before driving my new boat. Essential information! Thank for the great video ladies!

I respect these girls for doing their thing without targeting desperate incels or teenage boys. I've never liked those FL girls that have a youtube channel that's just them reeling in a fish in a thong. And of course, most of them are going out on charters. They have no skills and couldn't catch anything on their own. The GFT's are gorgeous girls. They could make every video in skimpy bikinis bending over the rail the whole time and their channel would instantly get far more views,,,but they dont. And I respect that. Especially when you consider what the majority of girls in their age range are like nowadays. If these girls blow up(and I think they will). They will have earned it. 🐠👍

You don't drive a boat you run it. I started on my dads fishing when I was 12 years old. Single screw. . Don't forget to show them what happens when someone fall over board. I used to throw a life jacket over and told them to pick me. Most almost always turned up wind. After the boat drifted over the jacked they started to over it. they seem to under stand why you don't come alone side on up wind ward side. I am 85 now and admire you young people teaching the new one. I ran and crewed on boats from 20ft. up 85 ft. power boats. Sail boats from 24ft. to 76 ft. Trans pak.Wish you well. Gman

I am enjoying catching up on watching your videos. You two ladies are inspirational figures to any new boater and also to experienced boaters who do not fish using tactics that are not common to their home waters. This was a very well done basics instructional. One thing that was funny to me being an older viewer was when you said something similar to “You start the motor just by turning the key, no pushing a button like on a newer car”. My family used to own a 1943 Ford pickup and you started it by pushing the starter button. 🥂

Great video ladies. Always enjoyable to learn something new and see it put into practice. The port/starboard rule we were taught in my boating course was that the short words stick together (port, left, red) and the long words work too (starboard, right, green). If you make more videos in this vein, how about a rules of the road video with the different buoys. The boaters in my area could use a refresher every spring. Keep up the good work. Stay safe and keep the floaty part underneath you.

Adjusting the Bow Trim also produces Yaw which can reduce or increase the effect of a cross wind. This is shown in your video with the Bow moving Port and then Starboard in relation to the land in the distance as you adjust the Trim Tabs.

Always excellent demonstrations ladies. Advice on batteries. Do not leave your switches all in parallel except to keep them charged which is when your motors are running. When you’re recreating using a battery then turn all your battery switches off except for one. That way you save your battery/batteries for starting your motors. Otherwise you might be stranded. You don’t ever need multiple batteries to start a motor unless you’ve already got low battery problems, typically caused by draining all your batteries by leaving all your switches is turned on! One battery is all you need to start both of your motors, though one at a time. Conserve

This video was helpful to watch to make sure I covered all the basics for them thoroughly. Thanks for the help. My only critique would be to either cover docking or mention that you're going to cover docking in a separate video and then provide the link to that. Docking is one of the things most messed up by new boaters... that and boat ramp fails.
