Bob Haymes, younger brother of famous 1940's singer & movie star Dick Haymes, starred in numerous Columbia B Musicals with titles like "Swing Out The Blues." He also appeared in a couple of films as "Robert Stanton," such as here from MGM's "Abbott And Costello in Hollywood," 1945. He sings the Hugh Martin-Ralph Blane number "I Hope the Band Keeps Playing," accompanied by The Lyttle Sisters.
He dances with lovely Frances Rafferty. Butterball Lou Costello can be spotted dancing with little Jean Porter. Haymes/Stanton's last movie was Walt Disney's "So Dear To My Heart" in 1946. He Later was popular on television and wrote the well-known ballad "That's All" in the 1950's.
