It was not always that easy tho. Marley played in Stockholm at the peak of his popularity at the central amusement park Gröna Lund. This venue was too small compared to his popularity. There is a famous picture with people hanging from the barbed wired fence desperately trying to get in. Security decided to open the gates to avoid people being stamped to death. When the concert starts there are 32000 people stuck shoulder to shoulder in this relatively small space. To think that this legend died over forty years ago is unbelievable! Still remember to this day where I was the moment I heard the heartbreaking news. That moment remains frozen in memory. And 'Natural Mystic' from the day I heard it for the first time after it was released in the '70s up till today, gives me the chills anytime I listen to it. He shook my hand and walked off. If any one doubts the power and brilliance of humanity Bob Marley posses, doubt no more... When Bob wrote this song he was so prothetic as the song is pure prophecy of what has taken place in the world since then. The wisdom of this man and his gift of song writing ,his character and the quality of his music drew me to him when I was a teenager. I am 46 now and have learned so much from him and he shaped so many of my perspectives on things. I picked such a good person to learn from. KING OF REGGAE ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!!

Who ever stopped listening to Bob Marley is the real question here….at 65 years age, I’ve danced, swayed, and sang along since the mid 70’s. The music sure hits differently as we age, so I dance slower, but sure didn’t forget the biracial kid from the far away islands. I cruise often…and step off the familiar path and follow my nose…back to the alley ways, there are the Rasta guys. Puffing a stick thick as my wrist, singing and smiling. They always talk with me, and are kind, polite, and tell me who has the best prices. I always drop a $10 or $20 into the open guitar case, and notice at least one of them always followed behind us, to make sure we made it out safely to the main entrance, where the rest of the shops and crowd were. Bob would smile at knowing his music matters 50 years later….he smiles at the popularity of “One Love” at the box office, and how he made such a difference in the world…

I grew up to him in Barbados and every time I listen to Bob it reminds me of my wonderful life as a kid growing up in the island in da sun. All my travels in the Army no matter what country I went to and played Bob, people loved it, still to this day. Never get old. Amazing!!!!

Truly deaths to be mourned. I don't usually feel sad when I hear of artists passing because most of them work for Babylon. But these men have hearts for YAH

Wish more people saw the absolute beauty of an imagination these artistic musicians had with their instruments putting out such powerful vibrations that just hit home and with Bobs lyrics that make you THINK, Period. This man was so so much more than a stoner. He was a very spiritual and revolutionary hero.
