Bob Marley is a must and Culture. In many parts of the world children grow up with his music as parents listen to his music. Very political, too. Would be good for Americans ,too. The struggle is real and U.S citizens aren`t the only ones. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery !!!

This song is not really intended for you to feel good, it is for you to open your mind to what 'Has' 'Is' and 'Will' take place throughout the world. The evil, the corruption the treatment of our fellow mankind.

Please react to " Survival" and " Sun is shining and Crisis " ..I saw him at his two live concerts in New York one at the Apollo theater in 79' and very last at Madison Square garden appearance in 80'.. love Bob Marley he was very very Special different too , ..and I will recommend you another reggae band named ... "Culture" w/lead singer Josef Hill who was also a friend of BoB and another reggae legend,.. Culture' has many albums. I love his of humor and sense of writing songs of protest for human dignity and human rights ... So start with the songs from " Culture at work" album .. or "Harder then the rest" & earlier in their career " Two Sevens Clash". They very rythemistic and their harmonies are beautiful., Also with deep is country side roots into their style. reggae ♥️🎭

Bob Marley - 'Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds'... This is what Kanye West was talking about when he said slavery is a choice - If black people keep on holding onto the past then they will always be enslaved. Never truer words spoken, just let it go and move on.

Love this song, one of my fav Bob Marley songs and as Wolfgang VonGash said, I'm an atheist too. But I think BM spoke to people on such a personal level that resonates further than his own beliefs - at least lines like the one about mental slavery are universal. Check out this version that I think does it justice and features Stephen Marley - kzitem.info/news/bejne/lmupmYhtj4SChpg. Thanks from the uk - stay safe xx
