Besides, it's not like he did it just to be a complete asshole. Both Irene & saul will be getting a piece of the pie. Hell, they'll be getting a whole pie with that settlement, so to speak. Hop off my boy saul. Jimmy is great & all but saul is why I started watching this show from the get go. Just like 99% of the fans. Him being a nice guy & getting screwed for most of the show was getting angering. Now he's doing the screwing, and it's fucken GOLD.

I'm always impressed by how good writers and good actors can make everything come together. How is it possible to write and act out Jimmy in such a way that it's both similar enough to Saul to make it the same character, but at the same time so different that our perception of him is completely different? And it strangely also feels so effortlessly natural, like "of course", even though most us wouldn't be able to do it.

NOOOOO! Season 3 was AHmazing! There is SO much more story to tell that Better Call Saul can go MORE than 1 or 2 more seasons! PLEASE! We have become so attached to Jimmy, and we root for him, too. We know he will inevitably become Saul; we can already see it at the end of Se.3. But that just means there's much more layers to the tale. Oh, and fun fact, I have watched Breaking Bad, 5 times each season, and on the episode where they introduce Saul, Season 2 Ep.8 "Better Call Saul," when Jessie and Walt bring him out to the desert, he thinks Ignacio wants him dead and says it's Lalo "He's the one!" I have replayed it several times, and I do not hear "Nacho," but I've been wrong before. I just LOVE Better Call Saul, and I love Bob Odenkirk, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould!I truly believe they are some of the best writers in the business. PLEASE let there be more than 1 or 2 seasons! Don't limit the story by putting an end to something that has become more than what I think they ever thought possible. Great video chat, and I thank you for sharing, Matt.

I certainly didn't intend to initiate this kind of discourse. I'm not going feed into any negativity. I , for anyone who cares to look,, stated "we know they are the same" with regard to the two names, Nacho deriving from Ignacio. I didn't just realize any of this now nor did I give that impression. There has been speculation for a while what exactly all of this will entail and with this switching pills situation going on we may now be seeing the answer to these questions at last. I was merely taken aback to see Bob mention "Nacho" ver batim and posted the statement in response. Great interview and much was revealed, we will see Saul this year, and later said that as long as he remained connected to Kim Jimmy was still present, ergo it stands to reason that Jimmy and Kim may official part ways very soon. Likely Saul will make his presence known when his suspension is finished and wishes to distance himself from his brothers name. Kudos to this channel, +GoldDerby.

don't be such a drama queen. just sit back and accept what comes. Remember the BrBA fly in lab episode ? A TOTAL WASTE episode..and there were more total waste character explorations (Jesse slipping back to junkie destruction..in for nothing, and and with a snap of the finger....) in BrBa. But still I watched. McGill is depressed on the ungrateful, bad state of character of the music intruments seller brothers...a bit too much overreaction if you ask me, but that will prove to be the character "deception in the overall humanity" break point..if it wasn't already kicked in by the deception in his brother Chuck. (ungrateful family). The only outstanding deception is the one in Kim Wexler (ugrateful lover/partner). Kim MUST disappoint Jimmy , for to be the third nail in the coffin.

Saul was only a supporting character we saw through the lens of Jesse and Walt's perspective. We have no idea what his home like was like during the course of BrBa. Hell, the flash forwards show us that he is an emotional person, he just doesn't show it around his clients.

Okay, uh, several things. 1. He says: "Jimmy still cares about his brother". WTF? Does he still think it's Season 2 or something? He explicitly says to Rebecca, pretty much word-to-word that he doesn't give a rat's ass about that asshole anymore. Two, he smiles maliciously as he lands him another blow of vengeance at the insurance company. How the hell is that "caring"? 2. I can sort of understand that the show may last no more than two additional seasons... but he says "one, maybe two more". How the hell could it possibly wrap all up in one season? Jimmy hasn't even become a criminal lawyer yet (and he can't for at least one year), and when he does, there's a whole story to tell, worth at least one season. Not to mention - Mike. Mike isn't even near the mindset of Gus Fring's personal assassin. And when he does become that, there's a story to tell. And then there's the hints of post-Breaking Bad story. How the hell could it all wrap up in one season? Is this thinking the result of worrying due to low ratings, or what? 3. He says Jimmy's journey to Saul Goodman is "nearly complete", all that's left is to take care of the exterior, set up his criminal lawyer office, etc. Again, how so? There were only really two Saul Goodman moments so far: one was at the bar with Kim, when we see signs of sadism and a desire for revenge (but he never puts his plants into motion, it remains on the level of an idea) and when he screws Chuck at the insurance company (someone might say the scene where he threatens to sue that guy at the community service work was Saul Goodman, but Bob Odenkirk himself explicitly said that he thinks that wasn't Saul). How is this even close to the completely amoral, mercenary Saul Goodman of Breaking Bad? Maybe he thinks once the whole season is over, and there's two episodes left, so who knows what can happen, but can he really make that radical of a transformation in two episodes? And yet, he thinks Jimmy still cares about Chuck and that there is even a "slight" hope tha that relationship might be renewed. If Jimmy makes even a slight step towards making peace with Chuck, he'll be one hundred additional light years away from becoming Saul Goodman, so... again, how in the world is his journey "nearly complete"?
@aubreypressley1450
7 жыл бұрын
filip vodolija well here's the thing they're gonna do a time skip. Remember Jimmy can't be a lawyer for a year. I think this season will end in a way where each character is at a point where the time skip works. Every character has to be at a point where you're not gonna just randomly skip over a big event so most likely season 3 will end with all the characters in a certain state but not too much of a cliffhanger in terms of immediate stuff and I think we're already seeing this. Kim has a wreck and she's hurt. She'll probably take time to think about her place and if being a workaholic to the extent she is is even worth it. More importantly the time skip allows her to get better. Most likely though she'll probably drop off of her partnership with Jimmy. Chuck may die or suffer a very bad fate in the last episode. This will cause all the characters to reflect on themselves and who they've been as they interacted with him. It also gives us the perfect opportunity to move on. Chuck will die all the characters wil need time to think. Hence the time skip and Jimmy saying if he could go back he'd do stuff differently. More importantly that will end Chuck's involvement as he is no longer necessary for the story. Besides Jimmy can't be Saul with Chuck or Kim and Kim taking her time and dropping from the partnership is a push to the edge and Chuck dying is just a further push to that edge. The only thing we'd need then is for Kim to completely leave Jimmy. Then boom his transformation is complete and the good thing is they've set this up. As for Jimmy himself he is getting that settlement money most likely. If Kim leaves the partnership Jimmy will be on his own. Out in the cold with money he doesn't need for that office anymore. Maybe he just doesn't want it. Thus he buys his BB office to start being a lawyer but he rebrands as Saul because people know him by it. We'll get the time skip over with and by S4 he'll be very close to saul. More importantly he'll have the money to become saul so regardless of this last episode is gonna really drive home that Jimmy is close to being Saul and it will definitely set the seeds for a full transformation. Oh and HHM is probably gonna be dropped from the story. In fact Howard will probably shut it down after Chuck is gone simply because the name wouldn't count anymore and its a tragedy. As for Mike, all season we've been seeing his arc and he may not be an assassin but obviously its in him. He was a cop. He has killed before and has planned to kill many more times. I don't think it'll be a giant transition to that guy. Plus the latest episode basically made him a full time gus employee. The time skip will allow him to become more experience as Gus's trusted ally and eventually right hand man. As for Nacho and Hector well I think its clear Hector is going to jail or he will become his crippled self. Regardless of the time skip will have time passed as he is in prison or as he gets used to his new crippled state. By season 4 we could meet a fully crippled Hector Salamanca. So yeah I think they've been setting these characters up to do the impossible. To really push them forward pretty fast and Jimmy's disbarment hearing was a big part of that because now we have a reason to skip forward. In shows like TWD sometimes we just randomly skip forward for no reason but this show really set itself up for a reasonable jump in time. Also its very clear Jimmy still cares a smidge about Chuck. When Kim confronts Jimmy about it later on he says we did what we had to do but Bob played it where it seemed Jimmy was unsure of himself. Like maybe hurting Chuck was very wrong. So clearly he cares but he still holds resentment so just to prove it to himself he doesn't care he has to do something like the insurance thing. In the insurance scene Bob said all of the crying was real for Jimmy. He was having a real breakdown but if you notice as soon as he mentions his worry for Chuck that anger comes back and he screws chuck over. We can only assume from that breakdown that as much as Jimmy hides behind the hate and anger he cares about Chuck. And honestly its not easy to not care about your sibling so I understand. So that's my thoughts. I know its long but lol I am curious about your reply.

I think the ratings are dropping because of the long enigmatic scenes tied to Mike and Nacho.
