It would have been a crime for Uncle Muscles not to give the spotlight to Casey and his Brother. Sure I missed the variety, but sometimes talent has to win out. Looking back I'm so thankful he saw Casey's gift, now knowing that we lost him so young. He was just a boy.

I can agree with you to a certain point, it is true that the atmosphere of the show changed a lot. But the changes were neccessary to build the required infrastructure to host Chasey and his brother. People should also realize that most of the changes were done to block the sewers, instead of just making profit. Blocking of the sewers wasn't done properly, reversing the flow in plumbing was indeed catastrofic and resulted in great suffering for people who were mostly innocent. But great art comes from suffering. I can't imagine a world without the masterpieces Chasey and his brother created. You shouldn't blame Uncle Muscle or Dick Chess, it was mostly the bad plumbers fault that the tragedy happened.

How do you think Tim and Eric direct other actors when they're filming? With each take, do they say "ok do it again but this time be worse" I don't know how they manage to get all these actors to capture their humour so well but I effing love it

T&E just give experienced improvisers and sketch comedians like Bob the green light to riff away. if you watch any bloopers you can tell they try a bunch of stuff and let the cameras roll.

Tim said in some interview that as a director he usually wants at least one take with the actors eyes closed, I don't know if this information helps you.

Bob Odenkirk wrote for Tim and Eric. He's written for SNL, lots of stuff. Often goes uncredited just to be nice to friends. He's written and done the announcer voice for most of the Cinco products on T&E, for example. So Bob has always done this style of comedy, T&E just perfected a specific version of it. Like watch Mr. Show, they did some sketches that will look very familiar.

@@mnchls So this guy is generally true. But when Bob's on, they can let Bob direct. Lol. Like I'm sure he works with them, but he could do a whole episode himself. It's his style of comedy already.

When I was younger I didn't like Tim and Eric because I didn't understand their humor. I didn't get how they have transcended comedy is such a glorious way. All other comedians out there try to be funny, and tell funny jokes. But Tim and Eric ARE the joke. I'm so glad I'm able to appreciate their humor as I got older, it's aged like a fine wine

i think with tim and eric, you either get it or you don't. i barely paid attention to the show while it was airing. a few of my friends told me about it but i dismissed it as senseless and zany. i can't remember exactly which skit brought me to my senses, but when i finally realized the genius of it, i was obsessed. to me, all of their humour has aged so incredibly well and it's just *always* funny.
