My favorite track these guys did was Monica's Get Down from the Miss Thang album. Those drums are insane. That 90s sound was sooo organic.

See, this guy Bob is talking about artist development. This is something you don't see in the music industry today. This is the reason why you see a million artists today that rap the same, dress the same, and sound the same. It's a microwave factory now. In the 90s, this was a no-no. You couldn't get away with that.

Their producer credits are looooong 📜 Bob Robinson was one of two writers for my favorite Mista song - ? (Heart) is (what love is). The duo Tim and Bob was in The Billboards top 10 producer list EVERY YEAR from 1998-2017 which is amazing.

Barry Hankerson...I'm upset that Tank's first album and Aaliyah's music is not available for streaming. That label had so much potential at that time. Put that playlist in the comments.

He's the reason Timbaland and Aaliyah weren't speaking much before she died. Timbaland was caught up in a nasty contract situation with him. I believe Static Major as well.

@@enzigenes I never knew that but it makes sense. This week is the anniversary of Aaliyah's passing. I saw an IG post mentioning that they are working on getting her music to streaming platforms.

@@MichelleNgome You ever notice why Timbaland or Missy doesn't promote or rarely promote any of Aaliyah's music on IG? It's because for years Timbaland fought with Barry Hankerson over unpaid royalties.

@@enzigenes Well I knew he didn't keep up with technology. I knew that years ago because her music was never a ring tone. In regards to music, you can't promote something you don't own especially if it's old. Hangers-on thought he was being smart and greedy then, but this man has missed out on millions of dollars from all of these great artists. Its a damn shame.
