At 8:27 The girl doing the song and dance could pass for a real life Betty Boop.

Nice good luck symbols on the piano. for the ignorant viewers, those are ancient symbols of luck and peace.

The sword fight between Bob Steele and Fred Cavens was great. Cavens was a bona fide fencing master and intructor but Steele could hold his own against anyone with his natural great athleticism. What makes it more amazing is that all the actors performed their own stunts and there were no doubles.

Love that border dancing back then the girls were so tiny and the cowboys looked like giants! Except for steel he was pretty short! Cute girl from NYC singing and dancing. She does sound like Betty Boop! Awesome sword fight! Steele should have been Zorro!

I was in the navy in the mid 80s on an aircraft carrier and they had empty coffee cans everywhere for people to spit their tobacco in and it was freaking nasty.

Nice movie. Loved watching it. Bob Steele is a car racer here. Still he scintillates.

My god that 'Gibby Hayes' was a tobacco chewing codger alright - if he swallowed that chaw at end of film he'd be sick for a month. It baffles the hell out of me trying to figure out what men find pleasurable about chewing tobacco? Can you imagine a world back then where men are all chewing and spiting everywhere?
