Actually its for the album cover. Historically black artists in the 50s and early 60s had vague covers without their faces so companies could sell their products in white areas. Bobby's album was just the silouhette to sell in black communities because he sounded black but was white. A good example is Nat King Cole, he sings like a white guy (of the time), but is black.

The bassline is immortal. It’ll keep groovin long past the heat death of the universe. What a shame that he’s passed on now. I’ll probably revisit this track periodically for the rest of my life.

Because we saw him on soul train we knew his ethnicity or nationality. But because he has a great voice and a lot of black folks love good vocals, and a nice jazz beat in the background, he was all right with us!

I read where he had been in decline after having a severe reaction to a group of antibiotics (fluoroquinolones), Levaquin, Cipro and Avelox, used to treat bacterial infections. The FDA continues to approve the use of these antibiotics, despite the dangers of tendon rupture and damage to the nervous system, stating the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. I am the same age as Mr. Caldwell was, have taken Levaquin before, but won't take it again. God rest his soul. He had one of a kind voice.
