@tomaszhoekstra7357 Maybe on a superficial level but just below the surface, he knows Bobby has something big that he doesn't - freedom from substances. Pride/ego isn't the most imp issue. The most imp thing is that Bobby understands and loves Bert enough to say something in a caring way. It's much easier to not say anything, just party and make money with Bert.

Bobby is the best, crazy how he can be so on point with “Nothing that you achieve is going to fix you” and be so insecure at the same time. F what other comedians think, every time I see a new video of Bobby Lee i click it.

Aw man, I always thought Bert denying alcoholism was a joke, but in this episode he actually doubled down on it in such a wrong way. Just such deep, deep denial.
@rickricky6421

Yeah, his rationalization that he’s not an alcoholic because he didn’t identify with Matthew Perry’s book was some real mental gymnastics

Ehhh, I don’t know, they’re both kinda stunted. Which is good for their comedy. Bobby’s like 17-19 and Bert’s still a super senior in college, who should be older but is still mentally 17-19

Bert seems so much more chill and genuine in this interview with Bobby. I don't know if it's because they are friends and he is comfortable with Bobby. Doesn't feel the need to be over the top and always go for the laugh, but I liked the change in his podcast demeanor.
