Between the early small blocks Fords, the 80-90's era 5.0, and the new Coyote motors, Ford definitely gets it right with their exhaust note. Perfect car. I'd take this over a European late model any day.

Car is freakin awesome. I'd love a Coyote or Voodoo [if they ever sell Voodoo as crate engine] swapped all black and de chromed Fastback '65, with a focus on handling to take it to the track and the twisties. I would also get side exhausts. But it's just a dream for me haha Pretty cool dude walking you around his car and turning it on. He did a great job

That is a dream build. No doubt very high dollar, but shit, I can hardly find fault in it. In fact, there are no faults it just comes down to preference differences but really really nice fastback

Thanks for this video brother, EPIC mustang, with a tastefully EPIC engine! I bet it's so fun to ride in. I plan to supercharge a Coyote crate and fit it in my grandpa's *69 Boss 429 body :D.* (And it's not molesting it because HE drove the original engine into the ground :P). (Will be purchasing the crate around April next year, I'll send you a video when she's complete.)

Thanks for such a quick response. I like the stance so much that I've already begun to strip my car and I'll attempt to replicate Bodie's work. I think I heard during the article that the front wheels are 17" diameter(?). Are the rear wheels also 17" diameter? Thanks very much.

Shane, I am not sure, I would contact Vintage Wheel Works directly. Let them know you saw the Bodie Stroud build here and had questions about the wheel size. Good luck with it.

Great Stang well done. Wondering if the front firewall was modified? Coyote is sitting in a great position and looks like lots of room for radiator. Thanks
@MustangConnection1

Since it was done at Bodie Stroud's shop I am sure they did it the right way so it's possible the reconfigured the firewall. There are a lot of custom touches that are hard to see at first glance.

@MustangConnection1

The Fastbacks are know for having blind spots but of the early cars the 65-6 have the best rearward visibility from inside the drivers seat.

If you would have used a Mustangs To Fear IFS up front, there would be no need to modify the tunnel or firewall even with the larger T56 :)
@georgerusso6243
5 жыл бұрын
Not so sure about that, 65 tunnel is not high or wide enough to fit a t56 Magnum unless you're dragging the oil pan on the ground because the engine is so low. Even if the MTF IFS would work it wasn't around when the car was built. A MTF one piece headliner was used.
@hotrodmtf
5 жыл бұрын
@@georgerusso6243 that's good that you used their headliner 👍 I have the T56 in my 65 fastback with plenty of ground clearance and no modifications to the firewall or tunnel :)
