I lived in Atlanta for over 30 years and I went to that lake once. I wouldn't even stick my toe in that water after learning it's history. That lake has claimed so many lives. I don't know if this lake is curse but, an entire town was flooded for "recreational purposes". The folks that use to live there were forced out for this purpose! It's a manmade lake.

It was not for either. Underneath is a town of residents that was a successful Black town after reconstruction that was formed. Just like Tulsa white night riders, we know as klansman burned the homes of Black's, killed then and stole their land and then covered the town in water to hide its existence. Do your research. Like Tulsa and other towns with successful Black people founded after slave were free during reconstruction. Stolen land and murder is underneath that lake. That's why the diver said it was dangerous. An entire town is buried underneath it.
